Lemmy.zip turns 3 today! 🎂

3 years ago today Lemmy.zip was created, and what a journey it has been!

I never thought it would grow beyond a few users, and that it would probably crash and burn after I inevitably broke something.

Amazingly, we're still here and now the 3rd most active Lemmy server!

To celebrate, I've pulled together a recap of everyone's time on Lemmy.zip - you can view yours at recap.lemmy.zip!

I want to say a big thank you to the admin team v4ld1z, gazby, and INeedMana for helping me to keep things running, and to all the moderators who take take the time to build and foster their communities.

I also want to thank you, the reader, for being part of Lemmy.zip. Without you, this would all be rather pointless!

It seems like every time I see a niche gaming community on Lemmy, it's here.

Kudos to @Demigodrick@lemmy.zip for keeping the server up and flourishing it even with the legal challenges.

Congrats on three years and thank you for all you do!

Probably the wrong place to ask this, but have there been reliability issues in the past week or so? I keep getting logged out, post comments don’t always load, and I have to retry posting quite often. I know last time there was a federation issue.

Wow, congrats! I never realized how early I joined Lemmy.zip, right from the beginning this instance have been waaay more stable and well run than its age and a volunteer adminteam would make me think possible. Thanks for doing all of the work, so the rest of us can sit back and enjoy lemmy.zip.

Congrats!

Thank you all for making this such a nice home instance :)
I'm really glad I ended up here after lemm.ee shutdown.

The recap is really fun!

I thought I was more of a hater.

The commenter category is also interesting. Four nice people who replied to me often and one person I have now banned.

What an interesting recap. I'm a little bit surprised, though, that I only ended up using 41 instances, although I ended up using like 500 different communities on those instances.

Contrats, a very nice server, my 3rd on the Lemmyverse but this one seems to be the right one who will not shutdown like the two others.
