Am I reading this correctly in that they’re basing participant activity levels off of a single week of activity (wearing an accelerometer) in the mid 2010s and then following their health records since then to see if they got cancer or not? Seems rather dubious to me
Not sure if stupid headline or stupid conclusion from a study. If that's true, human won't have squishy butt to sit down for long hour. Being sedentary is not the same as sitting for longer than 30min at a time, a manual labourer can sit for more than 30min for resting while the 8 hours of their day is heavy work, kinda crazy to link both thing together, kinda irresponsible too.

I do wonder if this is more to do with sedentary people having other bad habits that cause cancer, rather than just being sedentary.
