We call those wood louse here in the UK. I had to look it up because I’ve never heard them referred to as pill bugs.

Lmao you guys have a dessert called Spotted Dick!? I looked up jam roly poly, which looks good BTW and Wikipedia recommended some spotted dick lol looks similar to our fruit cake
