Ukraine struck two more Wildberries warehouses in the Moscow region, including the largest location causing its complete destruction. It is estimated over 118,000 Russian have lost their jobs after Ukraine has destroyed more than 20 of these warehouses. Ukraine also struck rocket and satellite production sites in Rostov and Samara.

Imagine being a Russian living in Moscow, and thinking the war would never reach them, and then seeing those giant smoke clouds from now 3 major Wildberries in Moscow, while waiting in line to get gas.
Reality is catching up.

Imagine being one of those Russians and feeling like you deserve any sort of empathy when your enemy has practically refused to target civilian infrastructure during the entire half decade long invasion you've been running, all the meanwhile your government has been bombing schools, hospitals, and apartment buildings. The amount of disinformation in Russia must be fucking crazy.

Yes, from what I've heard, many Russians genuinely believe Ukraine started this war! It's absolutely insane.

That's just the cost of allowing Putin to rule.

Rules:

  1. No sympathy with the enemy or its collaborators. Russian and North Korean soldiers are fascists committing a genocide. Remember that.

  2. Objective and factual reporting from the battlefield, parliaments, etc. is encouraged, even if it's about bad news for Ukraine.

  3. Insulting Putin and his cronies (Orban, Trump, Musk,...) is absolutely fine but don't use homophobic or similar language against them. Members of the queer community don't deserve to be compared to that scum. Also: Putin disciminates against gay people. If you do as well, you're part of the problem.

  4. Don't insult or use overly harsh language against other commentators.

  5. Don't submit direct links to Twitter/X and Truth Social posts. You may: Post a screenshot + quote, do a full quote and name the author, direct link to a proxy service like xcancel.com, deep link an image embedded in a tweet because Lemmy will cache a copy.

  6. Don't just complain about paywalls. If you encounter one, be a sport and link to an archived version instead. Use Firefox + Cookie AutoDelete + uBlock Origin with the annoyances filters enabled and https://filterlists.com/... to avoid encountering many in the first place.
