Google Is Reportedly Planning To Move All Pixel Production Out Of China

Probaby just across the border so the trucks with parts from China dont have to go too far.
That's not why. Slave labor in Vietnam and India will be cheaper.
neither of you are right...it's about tariff avoidance. The factories will still be owned by China.
You may be right about this particular instance. Do you have evidence the factories will still be owned by China? From what I can tell they are using Foxconn so that is not the case.
Samsung also exited from China as will many more companies. Corporations have been exiting China for awhile now because manufacturing prices are lower elsewhere. They also get sweet deals from governments doing this and in a lot of ways it is predatory in nature as they will leave Vietnam if it is more profitable somewhere else in the future.
Honestly I'm tired of the Chinese slave labor. My phone battery life is terrible. Plus, they didn't even add removable batteries so I could swap it out. Geniuses, can't take the battery out if you don't put in a back cover 🙄
The two problems you are reporting are result of Google bad design, not chinese manufacturing
The comment was a joke.
Fairphone is selling in us now.
All the tiny electronics parts will still be made in china.
Grapheme is coming to some Motorola models next year
Not going to hold my breath when Motorola is involved. Full me 6 times shame on me.
Fair enough!
I think a major benefit to Motorola being onboard is pixels arnt sold everywhere round the world, plus it means not financially supporting google.
Are Motorola unreliable? I haven't had much experience with them
They have repeatedly promised and failed to deliver android updates to both their flagship and affordable phone lines.
Motorola is owned by Lenovo since 2014, which is also Chinese: https://www.lenovo.com/...
