Jury refuses to convict seven Palestine Action 'organisers' for Israeli arms factory raid

It's my understanding that the general public's opinion of the PA ban and subsequent legal trials of its members is overwhelmingly in the defendants favor.
But I'm not sure how in touch I am with the British public.
Anyway, I hope your faith in the British public continues to heal.
This is why they want 'jury-less' courts
Any officer of the court who demands extrajudicial exceptions to jury trials, needs to be sentenced extrajudicially.
The incident took place at the height of Israel’s genocide in Gaza and before Keir Starmer’s government had implemented any restrictions on arms exports to Tel Aviv.
It should read
The incident took place at the height of Israel’s genocide in Gaza and before Keir Starmer’s government had implemented any secret plans to imprison people protesting genocide and label them as terrorists without the jury knowing
Okay I'm kinda starting to see the appeal of juries.

Posts should be related to UK-centric news, and should be either a link to a reputable source, or a text post on this community.
Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.
If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread.
Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.
Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.

It’s not enough to restore my faith in the general public, but it’s welcome news at least.
