This was stuck in the ground at the side of a freshly resurfaced road in Hemmant where I parked this morning.

Unsure what you missed or are getting at. I think the former bud.
I parked there this morning and that sign was there. The road had recently been resurfaced as I stated. I assume it was resurfaced yesterday ( y'know, Sunday ) or last night.
I took the photo this morning, I posted it after I got home, is that OK ?
I thought it was pretty self evident.
Cheers. Me too really.
They thought that it was me that didn't get the memo.
Yeah I don't know. Maybe it's not too bad in cases like this. It's not like parking in a clearway in the city. Still it would be a pain to retrieve even.
Yes for sure. It's an industrial area of Hemmant so unlikely that this was the reason. But you never know. A possibility for sure.
Jesus are you still harping on about this !? Honestly, get a new hobby.
You said that before, so could you at least find a unique insult? This sub-thread doesn't involve you. I'm just explaining my reasoning to someone who showed an inch of interest. edit: That was a deleted message you're responding to, which was meant to be a reply to another.
It's not an insult and I'm sorry you took it that way. It's a suggestion. Please let this go, it's not important.
Random AI accusations are seriously being taken to a new level.
Sometimes, AI isn't able to keep straight lines continuous. In this case it seemed really bad. Relying on my own ability to make out these things is something I'd like to keep doing. I also think it's important to call out. Even if I'll get things wrong occasionally. (But that's why I'd never encourage witch hunts or stuff like that.)
Even if I'll get things wrong occasionally.
Multiplied by every Tom Dick and Harry who thinks their AI 'detector' is hot stuff, and you guys are literally hounding artists to mental and emotional exhaustion, with a bigger toll on them than AI itself.
I think you need to get a new hobby. I dunno, maybe one that involves going outside perhaps.
Bro what are you talking about? What are those horizontal lines supposed to represent? The photo is very obviously not taken straight on to the path, which is why it runs diagonally. The sign also appears to be facing roughly directly away from the path, so it runs at a similar diagonal.
More to the point…it's text on a sign. It's one of the easiest things to show is AI when it's actually AI. AI often does weird shit with characters even at the best of times, and try to get it to emulate the perspective on text that's askew and it's got no hope. But here there's nothing.
I'd say you're clutching at straws, but there aren't even straws here to clutch at. Not even paper straws that have sat overnight in a drink.
I'll try explaining it again. You take the lines in a picture that are obscured by an object that should be straight, and you see if they are consistent. The original picture is cropped very unfortunately at both sides, making the two visible portions of the path appear as if it doesn't line up. Here's me trying the same for the uncropped version. You can try to do the same with the original picture if you want to get a better idea of what I mean.
I don't trust printed text to be a good indicator of AI (or not being AI) because it's one of the easiest things that AI can be trained on to get better, since the training material can be padded with tons of photo-realistic but rendered pictures of text that won't affect the training negatively. Additionally, for anyone with a little bit of photoshopping skills it's pretty easy to add to an otherwise AI generated image.
Also it looks like you're assuming I'm still arguing for this picture to be GenAI, which wasn't even the case when I made my first comment. Sorry if came across as such. All I was saying is that it looked suspicious, for the reason I mentioned, and then later explained.
Hi. First up I just want to say that I'm completely over everybody saying that everything is AI generated these days.
Well anyway my friend, I took this picture this morning myself. There was a car parked right in front of the sign so I took the picture from the front of that car, hence an angle did appear
Peace and love. X
We appreciate your AI art contributions DeafLesSanta, even if some users are stuck in the past and can't accept that Prompt Artists like yourself are already surpassing the quality of their biological meatbag generated "art" (if you can even call it that).
Thank you. I will do sum more stuff then.

AI doesn't do dirt and debris very well in my experience,,and that sign is dirty as fuck.
It probably is AI, DiaDeLosMuertos is a very well known Prompt Artist who frequently posts his works on this sub-lamington.
Honestly, his Prompt Art is better than a lot of biological "artists". It really makes you wonder how much life is left in traditional art now that Prompt Artists are becoming so good at coming up with such amazing works.
