Man I wished the last kitten I fostered had been this good. They were brutal and just would not latch.

They get very bipolar at a point. They are getting more independent and restless, but they also haven't mastered feeding themselves yet, so they will be thrashing around when you grab them, then they will instantly go into the mode in this photo and will create enough pressure they can just about empty the syringe on their own, but the second it is done, they will throw it aside and go back into that ball of furry insanity. Rinse and repeat until they're done with their formula. Ours get 5 syringes each.
Pro tip: use your thumb to pop off the nipple and they will keep trying to get milk out of it for a few seconds. If you're quick, and can pop a new syringe on there before they lose interest, you can avoid some of that thrashing.
This Sunday is my last official day of rehab this year. All the babies are almost grown up, so there isn't much to do until spring.๐ฅบ I'm gonna miss all my bratty little critters.
