Donald Trump railed against Sen. Tom Cotton in a series of posts on Saturday, accusing the Arkansas Republican of holding up a bill that would make Daylight Saving Time permanent and encouraging people to call the senator at his cellphone number.
I don't care which one it is. Just pick one and save the poor clock arms from abnormal forced movement. This is machine abuse.
Their machine spirits scream in agony each time their aging hands are forced into new positions.
Don't give a shit. Priority #1 is stopping this time changing madness first. Just lock a time in and we can revisit the DST vs Standard time shit later.
Exactly. It's all arbitrary. So I get up at 8 or get up at 7. I don't care. Just let it be consistent

Time is a human construct. It doesn’t matter what time it is.

I saw a bunch of clips today of MAGA repubs calling Watergate a hoax and blaming the deep state lol. JD Vance just said recently that if Watergate happened today, it would be a 12 hour story and disappear. I think that's a silent admission of knowing how many crimes his administration is committing every day.

we got rid of it in the past and a surprising amount of people wanted it back immediately, ALLEGEDLY it curbs seasonal depression to a degree people can notice (apparently this may be a myth). but it also effects a hand full of industries it would cost some millions in terms of the economy, of course Trump gives zero shits about that he just cares if the chaos is either paid for in advance or something he can profit from, but there are reasons to keep daylight savings.
We tried permanent DST in the past, not permanent standard time.
IIRC most Americans prefer daylight savings time to be year round over standard time.
Honestly, I don't fucking care. I could swear there was already a vote to do this years ago. If this guy is holding it up for God knows what reason, that's fucking stupid. Not as stupid as getting on the lolita express and going to Jeff's island and fucking kids, but it's stupid nonetheless. Trump has done this before. I wouldn't be surprised if Republican politicians buy a burner phone just to give the number to Trump, so that if Trump blabs it like this it doesn't swamp the numbers they actually use to get shit done

Daylight savings time is a failed experiment. Permanent daylight savings has been tried and was quickly repealed. Sending children to school in the dark is stupid.

I don't think that works. Calendar misprints would make every day wrong, or every day after the misprint wrong. I think the only way it would work is if the misprint was that every day was random and one happened to be correct.
