My 2nd Patch

4 days ago by Tudsamfa to c/lemmy_stitch

A lot learned from my first patch, a lot to learn still. My sister literally told me that using all 6 strands like my tutorial told me is rather unusual.

I'm an outsider (I think the new term is tourist) so take my two cents for all it's worth but I think it looks great for a second-ever stitch.

What is the size? What a very cool thing to make!

Thanks! The patch is 7 cm at its widest.

I like to freehand my patches and using all strands of the embroidery yarn really is too thick, I like dividing them in half cause it makes it easier to do some finer details. At the cost of time, I suppose

But then again I am self taught and embroider band patches on reclaimed scraps of old fabric so I might not be the best teacher lmao
