I seriously wish I could nap. I feel like if I could then I could recover a bit and then do things later in the day. But I just can't.
Not sure if others have the issue, but I just end up thinking too much and get anxious just like when I try to fall asleep at night. And if I do end up falling asleep briefly, I end up feeling groggy and nauseous and the rest of the day is a wash.
I've been trying to use a booster of Adderall in the afternoon after work or whatever exhausts me in the morning. But it's often not enough to do much and it's so hard to get Adderall with the shortages that often I need my boosters for rationing between prescriptions. I wish the DEA would allow the companies to make more and the companies would actually do it, since it's not a particularly profitable drug. And I'm a little afraid if they do get the OK, they would raise the price to astronomical levels like they do with other drugs like insulin or epinephrine that are cheap to produce and they just want profit.
I hope one day the American healthcare system gets fixed, but probably not in my lifetime, if ever.
Autist passing through here. I can rarely nap without messing up my night sleep. I like to do a little "NSDR (non-sleep deep rest)"* relaxation exercise though (I actually use the same one when I go to sleep, too). I find it helps since it gives me something to focus my attention on. Just thought I'd mention it in case it's useful.
* I still use this one from when Andrew Huberman had credibility. Annoying intro/outro, but pretty good otherwise.
