Not sure where to post this but, where would one go to create a community on Piefed? I tried the browser version of my home instance and cannot find an option to create a community.

You mean where to click?

In the web version of piefied.social (I don't use mobile versions, so I won't be able to help), try Communities-> local communities and in the new page that shows you should see a 'Create local community' button. Like this:

When you go to create a post, there are options for text, image, etc., as well as communities. Bit confusing that it's in the same menu, but that's how you do it.

Wait nope, that isn't how you do it. This is just the Interstellar app being a bit weird!

Share a story, ask a question, or start a conversation about (almost) anything you desire. Maybe you'll make some friends in the process.

RULES

  1. Be respectful: no harassment, hate speech, bigotry, and/or trolling.
  2. Encourage conversation in your OP. This means including all information that can initiate conversations when you can and also engaging in your thread when possible.
  3. Avoid controversial topics (e.g. politics or societal debates).
  4. Stay calm: Don’t post angry or to vent or complain. We are a place where everyone can forget about their everyday or not so everyday worries for a moment. Venting, complaining, or posting from a place of anger or resentment doesn't fit the atmosphere we try to foster at all. Feel free to post those on !goodoffmychest@lemmy.world
  5. Keep it clean and SFW
  6. No solicitation such as ads, promotional content, spam, surveys etc.
  7. No support questions. See !techsupport@lemmy.world
