There are a couple things that can happen to used motor oil (If that's what it is). In some countries, it is collected, the dirty bits cleaned out of it, and then reused. In all others, it's burned for heat.

Then for the buckets, I'd bring 'em to the nearest legal dumpsite. They are supposed to be lined to prevent leaching. Don't use soap and then dump, this is essentially dumping the oil on the Earth. Good luck!

do you have any people that buy used oil in your country? this is a thing where i live so i thought i should mention it. i saw that you're in a rural area, but if you have a car you might find people to buy the oil from you in any reasonably populated city. i can't help with the other stuff, hopefully someone else will.

Are the buckets made from metal? In that case you can burn out the remaining oil. But that’s something you should only do if you know what you‘re doing obviously. German garbage disposal sites have special oil containers where you can get rid of larger amounts. Is there something similar where you are?

Plastic buckets.

Been trying to find some service that collects used oil but no success yet, i live in Mexico so its very hard to find info about this especially on my region (very rural).

This may not be useful to you, but in my part of the U$ the autopart stores collect old oil.

You may be able to get in touch with a nearby auto repair center and see how they dispose of it. Also your government's environmental departments or ministries may have some resources on their website.

Sell them to Royal Navy, they can always use some new portable latrines/food carriers (interchangeably apparently).
