The Gaza ministry of health has met the highest standards of NGO and UN scrutiny. They even published proof of every single confirmed dead civilian a week ago when the death toll was at 8,000. There were 12 pages of names before the age of 1.
Usually the Gazan ministry of health, which is run by Hamas because they're the local government in Gaza. But, their numbers are highly accurate, as said by UNICEF.
It's interesting that you'll take Israel's word despite proof of regularly fabricating lies. But the health ministry under bombardment that is verified by the UN and multiple humanitarian NGOs is "the mouth of a terrorist group".

Their top line numbers tend to be accurate. If you look at the 2014 Gaza War data, the Gaza health ministry said 2,310 killed (70% civilians), the UN said 2,251 (65% civilians) and Israel said 2,125 killed (36% civilian, 20% uncategorized males between 16 and 50, and 44% combatants).
Obviously, everyone labels “civilians” and “combatants” in their own way and for their own purposes. But the health ministry hasn’t historically just pulled numbers out of their ass.

I don't particularly like Hamas, in fact I strongly dislike them, but you're right. They simply have no need to lie about everything as the Israelis have a knack for actually doing the terrible things they'd otherwise have to fabricate.
