Same here. I think my love for Apollo App was just too great, that I couldn't care less about Reddit's faith.

Same lol. I used to be active on Reddit like six hours per day. Then the whole API stuff happened and the blackout. Went on after the blackout and I surprisingly enough could go without.
Now that Reddit usage is zero.
Me too. I was all about not using Reddit when the apps shut down but secretly thinking that it would be difficult. It really wasn’t and since the blackout I’ve only logged in to look for updates on Apollo and Sync.
Yeah baconreader just stopped working while I was using it. End of an era as you say.
RIF just bit the dust a few hours ago. Sad uninstall is sad.
Same for reddit sync, I've just uninstalled it. I'm looking forward to sync for lemmy being released (hopefully in the not too distant future)
It will be interesting to see if there is any change in traffic on reddit tomorrow/coming days
If you’re looking for an Apollo-like lemmy app I’d recommend memmy for iOS. There’s also wefwef which looks like Apollo but is a self hosted web app so will work on android too.
Considering how well wefwef is kicking… Apollo kinda sort lives in spirit. For me, it’s more of being somewhat done with Reddit.
It is. I am so unbelievably sad.
It stopped about 2200 US eastern time for me...at least that's when I noticed it. I uninstalled and then deleted my Reddit account. I'm all in on the fediverse!
Baconreader too, it's a dark day.
Oh no! Never got my saved items out!
lol I missed out on that too. Someone will probably build a tool for that though.
Fuck no, Narwhal’s a good app but I’m done with Reddit.
thanks for using Leebra!
go to feed...
Ever since moving away from Apollo/Reddit to Lemmy my daily phone usage has dropped by close to two hours. I thought it would be more difficult but apparently my spite towards Reddit is stronger than I thought.
