Artists' passion project that they did 90% on their own time and survived off of eating used coffee grinds to create, which the studio has a contractual obligation to produce because the artists worked on multiple other films for the company: $2M ad campaign (maximum)

Cashgrab infinite remake riding the success of previous cashgrabs, also with a skirt: $100M

Honestly, if a hypothetical assassin wanted to have real impactful change they would start with VP and GOP speakers of the house and senate before Trump, as Trump is more heavily guarded and has less importance in the actual process which passes legislation. Also, Trump being assassinated would only lead to Christofascist Hitler Youth JD Vance gaining power.

Even his router ban or his admin favoring SpaceX contracts isn't worth investing $300Bn in Iran.

The USA companies can't even justify keeping private hospitals running stateside, how tf are they going to pay to build some in Iran? The oil fields aren't getting privatized so ain't no Exxon Mobil going to do it.

Trump has been aggressively rewarding coal and oil and it's still getting pushed out of the market by clean power.

$300,000,000,000.00 is a lot of fucking money.

I have been pleasantly but consistently surprised by the number of times the courts have sided against Trump, given his number of nominations in his first and current terms.

Even the stacked SCOTUS seems to be 50:50 at times, though they're very shortsighted for gutting the Voting Rights Act which could lead to all of them being purged at some point.

This is an interesting debate to see, actually, and personally I don't think Taiwan nor Cuba are Imperalism by their respective military backers USA and China.

However, I do still think Cuba is a dictatorship propped up by use of force enabled by the Chinese backing, while Taiwan is by contrast a much more democratic nation than its backer, so I can still oppose Cuban leadership wholeheartedly.

Likewise, I did not have any strong opinions on Venezuela until Maduro overthrew the election in 2024 after an already decade long grip on power.

If China had some proxies that didn't constantly devolve into dictatorship they'd have a lot fucking less enemies, I can tell you that much.

If anything I was getting the discussion back on track, discussing Irans role in this war's start and continuation.

Claiming that USA controls Israel which controls Iran was off topic lunacy.

When Skullfucker aka Xi Jinping gains control of the middle east, more people will suffer and die. Not less.

Chinese sponsored Iran killed more iranians, mostly protestors, this year than the USA.

USA is the largest backer for Israel but far from the only, and pulling out all military support could very well lead to much larger loss of life as well as end up giving the eastern bloc nearly uncontested control over the middle east.

I mean, honestly, do we really think Saudi Arabia or Iraq are going to fill that niche?

It's funny but also sad because it looks like the peace deal is already collapsing from both sides: congress doesn't want to pay the IRGC and Israel keeps attacking Iran who just closed the strait again.

Maybe it's different in autocratic regimes like Iran, Russia, and China, but the US Government cannot "push companies to invest" in anything without giving back at least some guarantee. Regardless, Congress is going to vote the proposition down.
