I had these forced socializing events at a company I worked at. The CTO would get mad that I wouldn’t go during lunch aka unpaid time. They would have free unhealthy, low-quality food and couldn’t understand why I did want any. The husband did the right thing. Not going to them hurt my career at that job. I live in Texas and this is unlikely to happen. It was more likely to happen a few years back. I doubt they will build a eletric train between two liberal cities. The only thing that would make it less likely is if you said it was a gay eletric train. Even if they did, Texas cities are sprawled out and require a car. It would only work if you could load your car on the train. It would be useful for students going back and forth to their universities. However, university students are almost as despised as poor people or minorities to most of the voters in Texas.

It is a strange article. It argues that western armor isn’t designed for sustained conflict but offers up the solution of more cheaply made vehicles. I would assume that would greatly increase the number of human casualties. Can Ukraine sustain an increase of human loses? Training troops takes time also. The simple vehicles could make it easier to get troops training but I don’t know if trading troops is a good strategy when fighting a country with a higher population.

I don’t know why so may don’t understand that this is a pay cut. You are being asked to buy a shirt or shirts to work for the company. It might be a temporary cut, but still a pay cut. A union should always strike on pay cuts.

I don’t think there is a proper way to ask. Leave people that are eating alone so they can enjoy their meal. Even if you ask nicely, you are still putting pressure on the person eating. If you need to be seated a specific time go to a restaurant with reservations.

Having thick skin isn’t a superpower. It just makes you less sensitive to both positive and negative emotions. Either way there is damage that needs to be healed.

Phones have to easily repairable before you can blame consumers for upgrading. Cell phones are pretty essential for modern life and most of us don’t want to be without them for long. The upgrade allows for people to not have to worry about what to do when something out of warranty breaks. It is like fixing your car. In warranty, the manufacturer or dealer takes care of things. Out of warranty, you have to find a repair shop. Finding a repair shop is difficult. Trying to get a second or third quote on a broken car is difficult and costly.

The alternative is to make repair shops have transparent prices and make it easy for them to get oem parts. The other option is to force companies to warranty their phones for longer. Until the government does one of those you can’t blame consumers.

I think you answered your own question. It wasn’t good. Apple isn’t willing to sacrifice battery life since it has been one of their biggest selling points on the iPhone for years. As far as why they haven’t figured it out yet. It is probably pretty difficult. Intel spent tons of money on it and couldn’t succeed. A chip maker gave up. That should tell you how difficult the process is. The 5G modem industry is basically a monopoly so there are a ton of companies that would be trying if it were easy to do.

I think they can still reboot with an Android base. They can just do what they did for edge. Pull a Google. Sell hardware with very polished software. Android would give them full access to all Android apps. Also they already have outlook and office apps made for android.

Not sure how they think this won’t upset customers. I assume most customers won’t know there is a surge until they get to see the menu board. Unfortunately, that isn’t quite right for guys. Skinny, straight, relaxed…. All these types changes the fit and sizing. I wear one waist size larger for skinny.

Women’s are much worse sizing wise but the difference is that guys jeans generally just look acceptable . When a woman gets jeans that fit her correctly, they can look amazing. I doubt guys ever get compliments on the fit of their jeans.

For women, they could use 6- measurements to standardize it but unfortunately a lot of people fall for vanity sizing and don’t want to accept that they gained weight.

It happens for guys clothing too. If it is a letter based sizing there are huge variations in sizing between clothing companies. For high end brands I wear a large, at Walmart or other box stores, I wear a small.
