LGBTQ conservatives say they feel misled by DeSantis

You will be surprised (or not) at how many LGBTQ people are just straight up racists that love the right wing policies. They just don’t realize (or care) that they are targets by those same groups too.
Everytime I hear of an LGBTQ conservative I remember the words of Treebeard.
They were in the same place then as conservative LGBT+ people are now. There was no Final Solution yet. They didn't think they were those kind of Jews. And if the GOP gets their way and queer people start getting rounded up, they will realize they were those kind of queer people.
But surely the Leopards Eating Faces Party would never eat MY face!
Oh that's simple. Let me help you with that. If you're LGBTQ then DeSantis wants you dead. Full stop. There are no "good ones" here, he'll gleefully order you all shot if he can.

Every single modern republican has been mislead.
He wasn't hardcore anti-queer until the last few years.

A lot of them probably did because the right openly accepted non-white and LGBTQ+ people into their ranks when they all banded together to oppose the lockdowns. They were absolutely right to do so then, but now the pendulum of oppression has swung the other way, so they'll abandon the right and go to the left until the left does something else insane.
We desperately need an independent third party in the U.S.
They absolutely did not accept non-white and LGBTQ people during COVID, the COVID era was the Trump Administration. Lockdowns were a Trump policy and it was specifically because he didn't do enough early enough to contain infections.
Yep. He probably couldn't care about that community until he realized that hating it got ratings up with hateful conservatives.
The whole GOP used hate-based politics for decades. Absolutely none of this is shiny and new!

I think people sometimes fail to realize the only reason LGBTQ folks are assumed to be liberal/left-leaning is because that's the only side that hasn't been advocating for at least light genocide for ages. It has nothing to do with being non-straight, and everything to do with historical/cultural context. So of course there are gay fascists. You can find idiots and assholes in any group.
When will conservatives from marginalised groups realise that the moment they are no longer useful or can be used as a wedge issue they will be thrown onto the pyre to burn?

there is no lgbtq agenda, but there is a desantis agenda. You can feel however you want just know that not all feelings are valid.

Ah so you're falsely associating homosexuals with this vague "other stuff" that you hate. I'm not seeing any logic here, just you putting all the people you don't understand under a big blanket and calling them crazy.
I get it I guess. Probably way easier to go through life if you never put in the emotional energy to understanding humans different from you. The problem with that is, you spiral into disdain&judgement for whoever you decide is crazy today, and that feeling of bitterness poisons your psyche. Just a warning.

Please explain what possible negative impact the simple existence of non-straight people has on you. And I do mean you, specifically. Why do you care, and why do they upset you so much? How, precisely, does them existing hurt you?

Conservative LGBTQ+ people make the mistake of thinking their richness or whiteness outweighs their LGBTQ+-ness in the eyes of their fellow conservatives.
