Mike Lindell, the controversial founder of MyPillow and vocal ally to Donald Trump, is claiming ignorance over the neo-Nazi symbolism in his pillow prices.
Lindell’s pillow company, which he founded in 2009, is currently offering customers the “Standard Classic MyPillow” for $14.88 reduced from $49.98.
But the discount has got critics pointing out a popular neo-Nazi symbol lurking behind the price.
The numbers 14 and 88 are two popular white supremacist numeric symbols, according to the Anti-Defamation League.
The first is a nod to the “14 words” slogan, “We must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children,” coined by David Lane – a member of the white supremacist terrorist group known as The Order.
Meanwhile, 88 is a common code meaning “Heil Hitler”, because H is the eighth letter in the alphabet.
Crazy thing is he has to give a 70.23% discount for people to even think about buying a pillow
50 dollars for the world's best pillow is a steal
Something you use every night that can actually help with sleep and health. You shouldn't be skimping on your pillow.
To be fair, I see all kinds of $14.88 or $7.86 or other random prices at Walmart. Problem is, I know a person didn't necessarily set those prices because it's every product, seemingly at random.
One dude decides what His Pillow costs, and he had to have chosen $14.88 for a reason. Maybe not because he's a Nazi sympathizer, but maybe just to get in the headlines again. Either way, he knew the connection and what would happen, which is sell a bunch of pillows.
The prices at Walmart aren't random. The cents portion indicates things like limited buy, no longer stocking, temporary sale, etc. It has been over a decade since I've worked retail, buy they are indicators for employees.
This is only for discounted items, not regular priced items. There are a couple of different methods that can be used, but I'll use the .8 that is being discussed. Basically, they will intentially price certain types of sale items and have all the prices of that type end the same way. So xx.89 indicates a regularly stocked item that is on sale, xx.88 indicates an item the store will no longer carry, xx.87 indicates an item that is not usually stocked and can not be ordered again, etc. This is just an example. The assigned meanings may be different, it has been a long time.
but maybe just to get in the headlines again...
...because he knew it is a Nazi dog whistle.
So he's either a Nazi, or he knows enough about Nazis to know how to appeal directly to them, and is happy to do so for publicity (so, an enthusiastic collaborator with Nazis at the very fucking least).
You really should examine with yourself why you feel the need to jump to the defence of a Nazi.
You basically paraphrased what I said. Maybe I'm not saying it in a way you parse as unsympathetic, but I'm definitely not defending Pillow Man. Most people seem to get that, or else I'd be absolutely demolished by negative votes.
Very on script for an addict
Maybe though I don’t like using someone’s addiction to poke fun. He did a really good job of overcoming it originally and then pissed it all away like so many other’s left in Trump’s wake.
He's credibly stupid enough to not have known.
I don't think he's stupid enough not to know what those numbers mean. The crowds he hangs out with, there is zero doubt he has seen those tattoos on more than a few faces in the MAGA crowds.
I don't necessarily think he was even aware of the price tag, or thought about a proposed sale enough to notice. I think the chances this was one of his nazi employees is higher than him setting his own sales price himself.
He doesn't seem to be coherent enough to be running day to day things like that, when his focus is getting in front of any camera willing to record him.
No, that's the point of a dog whistle. Those in the know understand, and they don't want outsiders to notice. One of the best ways to combat these people is to let everyone in on their "secret" codes, so we can see exactly who is putting their hat in with the Nazis.
Do you hang out with a bunch of Nazis?
Only when my punching hands get real itchy
He knows what he's doing. It got him free advertising.
Mike Lindell did a Nazi dog whistle, not surprised.
Mike Lindell claimed he had no idea about how super Nazi it was: not surprised.
had to do it. it's all I could see from the photo in the article.

Sure, and the promo was 14.98 first and was then changed to 14.88 after 12 days by accident? All just happenstance?
I won't detail everything again here, please let me refer you to my comment from when the story broke:
MeinPillow
To be fair, he's ignorant AF.
But yeah of course he knew.
Why is he still in the news?
Not gonna lie, at least when it comes to the back and foot board a swatstika would make a pretty solid shape for a quad person bed. Put a bed in the void area between the arms.
I do not know why my brain thought of this but the swastibed crawled up from the same part of my consciousness that tells me to mix Mayonnaise and Yogurt. So yeah take that as you will.
It's the final solution for all of your sleep needs!
I'm half tempted to buy the domain name "myLUMPYpillow.com" and simply redirect the traffic to mypillow.com just because of how much Lindell would hate that.
They're going to hand over good money for a lumpy pillow from a two bit con artist and part time insurrectionist. Isn't that punishment enough for the shopper? Nothing we could do to the redirect would punish them worse than having to use a a Lindell lumpy pillow.
It at least half will complain about the couch porn to Mike… or at least to the chat bit…
So it’s meant to annoy Mike even more.
And as far as I’m concerned… he can’t be punished enough.
And as far as I’m concerned… he can’t be punished enough.
I was referring to punishment for his shoppers. You can bet Mike doesn't sleep on one of his own lumpy pillows, even if he should be in prison for his actions trying to overturn democracy.
Makes sense, he's a couple of quick razor swipes from a Hitler stache.
Mike Lindell claims ignorance over neo-Nazi symbolism in MyPillow prices
Of course he is, they always do.
Doesn't Walmart often price things at xx.88?
Hmm. Maybe maybe not. See #2 here: https://thekrazycouponlady.com/...
#2 literally shows an item priced at $14.88
That was my first instinct, but no... The specific inclusion of 14 & 88, together and in that order?
Walmart just did it to be noticeably less than competitors, who often would price items ending in .99, .98, or .97.
I thought that those were levels of price reduction.
.99 is normal
.98 is on sale
.97 is deep sale, never going to be cheaper
That's how my buddy who worked at WallyWorld 20 years ago explained it.
There are a lot of valid reasons to detest the guy. Going out on a limb with weird conspiratorial accusations isn't really necessary. Already enough of that weird nonsense out there. Just sayin.
just looked at Amazon, found a bunch of sales that ended in weird numbers .21 .84 .58 .74 .89 .44
oh and I found this one too

Surely the fact that he's sticking up for an Epstein friend is more than enough to hate him already.
Okay but if something for sale for $420.69 we would all agree that was intentional, right?
To be fair i had no idea what 14 or 88 meant before reading this post. Not to vifify mike lindell as i dont watch the news but am aware of him indorsing politcal figures. But i feel its reaching to say hes a white supremacist baised on the price of a product. Now if there any factual instances of him being racist, then there may be a correlation.
Just because YOU didn't know doesn't mean much. It just means you're probably not a White Nationalist/Nazi (or maybe it means you are and are just ill informed about the culture and iconography surrounding it ).
It definitely means something to white nationalists.
I mean im not saying it cant be politcal dog whistle. But there would need to be more evidence to make a conclusion. Such as mike lindel saying somthing racist or somthing that reinforces him being a white nationalist Nazi. Saying hes a racist purely off of a product price is the equivalent of the pet eating ohio comments. Both lack evidence and credibility to my knowlage.
Saying hes a racist purely off of a product price is the equivalent of the pet eating ohio comments.
Jfc, you Nazi apologists are fucking wild, comparing a white supremacist openly broadcasting a Nazi dog whistle, to a bunch of immigrants who literally did nothing to no one but were still made a target for violence by those same white supremacists for the sin of existing while being Black is vile beyond belief.
You should be ashamed of yourself.
Buddy i was comparing them for as they both lack real basis. And im not a nazi or a racist im simply being unbiased. And for added contex i honestly think people that judge people by the color of there skin are FUCKING stupid. Like seriously, ITS A FUCKING COLOR congrats lobotmites you judged a book by its cover and over generalized based on somthing by chance.
And i do not appreciate lumping be in with lobotomites, im fine if you disagree with my oppions and i appreciate different oppions. I think the worst world to live in is the one where its just circle jerking. And mental imbreeding of ideas.
