Apart from anything else, blaming third party voters like they uniquely owe Dems their vote in a way that no other voter does, is neither backed up by the statistics nor does it bear any connection to reality. It's just a sloppy lazy way of finding a scapegoat to vent at. Why not try blaming Trump voters for Trump instead?

Or indeed, if we're going to construct imaginary parallel universes with different election outcomes, how about one in which enough people voted Green in 2016 that the Dems were forced to actually try listening to the Left, instead of drifting ever Rightwards in an attempt to capture voters who will never vote for them anyway?
