I'm cooped up at home right now cause I've got a virus of some kind, and it made me think what do you like to do when you're home sick?
My partner is lovingly bringing me anything I ask for (lots of hot tea, inexplicably large quantities of hash browns) and I'm laying in bed watching TV and it's been quite nice considering I am feeling like shit.
It makes me think about how growing up my dad never took care of my mom the way she took care of him, and the way my partner is taking care of me. I know there are endless stories similar to my mom, but I'm kinda rambling here now.
Hopefully you stay in good health, but if you did get sick, what is your ideal sick day?
One day I was so sick, I asked my kid (probably 5yo) to just bring me some cereal, and he did, it tasted awful. I said I'm so sorry, I can't eat this, could you pretty please try again. And he did, bless his little heart. Same deal. It tasted salty and awful. So I got up to investigate, he had been using stock, as it looked the same as the milk we had, kinda. Hilarious story I still fondly tell today. I swear the joy from how funny and sweet that experience was cured me right up.
Laughter brings you back from the dark side, in more ways than one. Inject it often, I say.
