It's really amazing that Adam and Tom had this very long plan for an entire day up to exactly the sunset, requiring so many train connections, and it all worked out. Every single train was incredibly reliable.
Also, Sam feeding Ben a toxic Gingko nut is an absolutely iconic moment.
First of all: called it!
I love how card-oh dam-oh was in their Japanese translation all while it just sounds as if someone tried to make a Japanese sounding term for "dam card". LOL
Also the build up - Adam researching it like "we need to get there before 4pm, subject to availability of cards, someone needs to be there and have time for you,..." and then the cut to Sam shortly after contemplating "what if we just go there?"
As for Amy's Mystery Item - i just have to imagine Adam replying to Bam's challenge complete text with "It was the Miyazaki Mango, right?". I don't know how common those are to find in stores, but seeing how Adam connected the dots and guessed it easily, this could have gone downhill fast for Bam if they hadn't guessed the most expensive mango because of the first line of the clue (or if the store hadn't sold them).

i forgot if they mention in the main episode, but in the full footage, they talk about "going crazy", feeling like moving backwards whrn they stop, but it's a wcll known phenomenon, the motion detection bit in your brain gets "tired" of one direction aftet a while and sends the signal for the opposite one
I had a dream last night I was in Jet Lag in Japanorama, and I kept falling behind and couldn't keep up on the trains with them until Ichinoseki when I caught up and told them about the 6.8 earthquake we experienced at the tallest hotel in Ichinoseki, and then another much bigger earthquake happened and I woke up.
Crazy how team ATom started, delayed in the rain, to end up neck and neck at such a beautiful sunset.
