Trump wants Talarico and Paxton to debate. Talarico couldn't be happier

When Democratic nominee James Talarico stopped holding campaign events in the Texas Senate race, his Republican opponent Ken Paxton saw an opening to pounce.
“Where is James Talarico?” he called out Wednesday during a rally with Donald Trump in San Antonio.
But that night, while flying back to Washington on Air Force One, Trump seemed to inadvertently throw Talarico a lifeline. The president said on social media that Talarico — who has the flu, according to his campaign — “should immediately report to a Debate Stage” to face off with Paxton.
It was exactly what Talarico wanted to hear, since he had long been badgering Paxton for a debate.
The anti Paxton ads are only limited by runtime. There could be a set of two dozen three hour documentaries on YouTube about all of Paxton’s corruption.
Or unless their people are moderating.
Exactly. The cons seemingly have no idea what a real debate even is.
They seem to think that whoever gets in a zinger (like Ronnie Raygun saying "there you go again" ) or doing a Gish Gallop or shouting someone else down, etc...is the "winner".
Sadly, the people that have no idea how facts and logic and a real debate should go also get to vote.
The people who need to hear and understand what Talarico will say will not care that he mops the floor with Paxton.
I don't think that's true. If Talarico makes the case that Paxton and Trump are the kind of people Jesus would have whipped out of the temple, which is a pretty succinct summary of his whole campaign imo, then there are definitely people in Texas who would care about that. That simple fact is the entire reason Paxton has categorically refused a debate thus far. It's also the reason Talarico's interview with Kimmel aired on YouTube instead of NBC (or whatever dumb network Kimmel's show is on).
I got 5 different mailers from Paxton. Every one of them was about trans people. That's the best rebuttal he can come up with. Meanwhile he commits crime, bribery, cheats on his wife, owns 15 properties he's using to commit tax fraud, and was impeached by his own party. How is this even a contest?

He does. Paxton stated that his poll numbers were hurt by Trump's midterm convention. Trump doesn't respond well to comments like that.
Also, why can't ding-a-ling donnie even pronounce "vegan" properly, for fucks sake?

It's 2026, and assholes like donnie are still trying to paint being plant-based as totally gay and fem or whatever. I swear that assholes like donnie are going to lose their fucking minds if vat grown scales up, because lots of people are going to eat something that doesn't involve suffering. If being a vegetarian for 20+ years is any indication, they won't be able to ever shut the fuck up about it if they are even sitting near someone eating vat-grown...
Of course, some states have preemptively banned it and it's pretty easy to guess which ones. 🙄
Is talarico vegan?
No, but donnie dumbass thinks he is, or thinks he can convince his listeners he is, and of course being vegan (or "vagan" as donnie says) is just axiomatically feminine.
As if women don't eat meat? I mean the whole narrative around meat-eating and masculinity is just so fucking stupid. Even the most hyper-feminine of women and the most weakest of males can....order something with meat in it? Hell, I've noticed people in the hospital being given trays of food that had some element of meat in it - somehow these people at some of their weakest moments managed to....eat meat.
I just have no idea where this stupid idea even came from that if some male abstains from eating meat that they are feminine? The male dumbasses (and the females that prop this stuff up and, oh, they exist) who talk like this all act like they really did something bigly masculine to...purchase meat? And then chew it up? I always ask them if they know women who eat meat, and of course the answer is yes. I ask them if those women are in danger of growing a dong.
I chalk it up to advertising.
Paxton will just pull the usual republican tactic of talking over their opponent, over their alotted time, and spewing so many lies there is no possible way to disprove them all.
Trump has seen some of the ads talking about Talarico saying god is enby and has never actually listened to a single word Paxton has said.

I'd love to see Talarico destroy Paxton. Every anti-Talarico ad requires taking the things he said completely out of context.
Every anti-Paxton ad is just facts and statistics about exactly how corrupt he is.
