More specifically, the only source the article even gives is a link to a reddit post with a screenshot of the tweet, of which doesn't have a direct link to the tweet. This is half assed journalism at best, considering they even quoted the original screenshot wrong.

Edit: lol they couldn't even get the person's name straight. It changed from Robert Stevenson to Anderson after the email portion. Why's this article even here?

"We and our 855 partners blah blah blah."

Odd that theverge decided to post this article. Not too stoked about 850 companies asking for my data in order to see an article about predatory business practices.

Artist is fizzy-dog. Seems the original tumblr links are dead (or tumblr is being rude to me). These are pulled from from e6.

And a bonus panel.

Source is on the cop car.

I agree though, it's nice to just have the artist stated.

I do not like to add AI.

I would not like it here or there.

I would not like it anywhere.

I would not add it in a handbag.

I would not, could not, in a car.

Not to a baby, not to a helmet.

Not in my house, Not on a mouse.

I do not like to add AI.

I do not now, nor ever will I.

Do you hear me Microsoft?

Take your AI and fuck off.

"... A..."

(Youtube link)

Some context for those unaware: Gawr Gura is a hololive vtuber, and this clip is how she started her first stream. Tens of thousands of viewers, and she makes her debut with 25 seconds of total silence and then a single "a", followed by a cut to her loading screen. Very weird, and very funny.

Yeah the Steam refund 2 hour thing is just the no questions asked guaranteed refund window. You can absolutely request a refund outside of that window and they'll be quite reasonable in most cases.

That is indeed the case, though there's more to those numbers. Thos are numbers for prior authorization denials, but they're also from a report focused on Medicare Advantage plans for elderly and disabled folks (you know, the people who would be most fucked over by denials). Pulled from https://en.wikipedia.org/...

The investigation revealed that in 2019, UHC's prior authorization denial rate was 8.7%. Thompson became CEO in 2021, and by 2022 the rate of denial had increased to 22.7%.

As an added bonus, there's also this insanity that he tried to push through:

In 2021, Thompson was criticized in an open letter from the American Hospital Association regarding a plan from UnitedHealthcare to start denying payment for what it deemed non-critical visits to hospital emergency rooms. UnitedHealthcare responded by delaying rollout of the change.

I wonder if UHC has ever denied coverage to victims of gunshot wounds?

Also the fact that the grain on the side of the shell is perpendicular to the grain on the top, and it changes where the cat ear comes up in front of it.

Very telltale sign of AI is a change of pattern in something when a foreground object splits it.

Not saying it's always a guarantee, but it's a common quirk and it's pretty easy to identify.

They are! Some of them even have good music (ouch, self jab). A lot of them fall squarely in the realm of non metalheads saying "this isn't music/this is just noise", a few of them are small scale bands, and a few of them are really iconic bands.

3 inches of Blood is very much the outlier genre-wise, it's power metal about DnD stuff.

I figure this is a halfway decent place to ask, and it's on my mind. If there's a better place to ask, I'd love a point in the right direction, cause navigating lemmy well still eludes me.

Looking to test out linux for the first time and I know fuck-all about the basics, and I have a couple of questions:

  1. spoiler

gaming is my main use for my pc, and I've seen Bazzite and Pop_OS as recommendations, are these good starting points? Relevant system specs (I assume):

    • CPU: Intel i5-9600K (overclocked in BIOS)
    • GPU: NVIDIA RTX 2060 (overclocked with MSI afterburner)
    • 2 monitors setup, with my main setup for gsync ('adaptive-sync/freesync'). Both are ASUS monitors
    • I almost universally don't play games with anticheat, so I'm not concerned on that front (I've heard that's a big wall for linux gaming)
  2. spoiler

I plan on using an SSD for testing linux because I have a spare available, but I'd like to eventually use my NVME that my current windows install is on for linux (after swapping windows to a different drive of course). Could I expect any issues by doing that, or should I set up NVME for linux before starting the dive?

  3. spoiler

I'd like to be able to boot into windows or linux regularly (at least until I get my bearings and settle into it), but I've heard windows like to fuck with boot processes in some way? Any tips for avoiding boot issues?

Again, if there's a better place to ask (I'm sure there is lol), I'd appreciate a mention for that too.

Edit: collapsible spoilers are a damn godsend.
