Yeah, this never occurred to our leaders here in the US during the War on Terror either, and they warmongering in seven countries at once. It can get a whole lot worse, but I hope that doesn't happen.

Based on the polling I've seen, I have zero doubt the majority of Israelis would approve of mass murdering their adversaries in gas chambers, and with zero self-awareness of how their psychopathy is identical to the nazis.
Right now they are all hyped up about nooses and lynching. But this is after having engaged in one of the most concentrated military campaigns in human history against a largely civilian population.

It's a literal bonfire of the vanities. The bigotry, the smugness, and the violence are all part of a self-mythologizing narrative used to build support for increasingly awful people. Guys like Ben-Gvir are in power precisely because they're the biggest assholes the country has to offer. They draw in other assholes like a magnet and build a movement based on that collective awfulness, even as their country self-destructs and takes out every neighbor in a 500 mile radius.
The issue is not that we have deranged human beings. As societies, we can handle these cases.

But now and then, a society weakens, and these people gain power, and it's always the same. In the 1930's it was the Nazis, in the 2010s it was MAGA.
It is important to keep these people crushed at all times, and not feel badly about it. These people do not deserve our empathy, or access to our rights, so they can abuse, manipulate, and violate them. We know where their "free speech" leads us, and we don't have to tolerate it.

Seriously, why does hardly anyone on this website know how to read headlines? Quotes mean it's a direct quote and commas are used as shorthand for 'and'.

While the comment may be a little extreme, it's important to note that all of the Israeli government's actions have a rock solid 80% and higher approval rate from the Israeli people.
I certainly wouldn't say the 20% should die just because most of their neighbours are some of the most awful people to ever be born. But I think this context may shift some views of comments like this one.
Dont forget they have mandatory military service with almost nil resistance. There are very few actual civilians in israel. All adults are implicated, more so than even in the USA or almost anywhere else on earth.
Which is a claim they falsely make about Palestinians. And israel does not spare the children in this characterization, even while they breed and raise their own children to be war fodder and terrorists.
After 9/11, many Americans supported the invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan, and were making jokes about nuking them (a country that had nothing to do with the attack, by the way).
