Being nice does not equal flirting
Being nice does not equal flirting
Fuck off, asshole!
Am I doing it right?
No. You're suppose to complain about your food being slightly wrong or not having the right thing that you didn't requiest and you're suppose to blame them and then demand a free meal as compensation
So you're saying there still is a chance?
service industry isn't obligated to comment on my looks.
they should just smile and ask me how my day is. don't be personal.
As a European, asking how I'm doing is already too far. It was quite confusing when I went to the US.
how are ya doin'?
😱
Not good. I've never been doing good.
Welcome to Costco I love you
Everyone's job tells them to do it, but 10% actually care.
I think with enough spite, we can push that into single-digit territory. Who's with me?
Oh, this is what people mean when they say "Don't be a stan"? I thought they were just being racist towards Central Asia...
You don't need to smile and flirt with every customer... but then NO TIP!! And then you can't afford your apartment's rent. Might not even be able to afford enough food to make it through the month. But it's your choice. Land of the free.
We're tipping convenience store clerks now?
Tip jars have been a thing in small stores for a long time. Its usually where people drop their pennies and nickles.
My place technically allows it, by the left over change people didn't want from their gas/snacks. I usually get about an extra dollar every shift, from all the extra coins.
I then usually keep all the pennies in a coffee tin and then take them to a coinstar.
yes, our culture is so fucking weird.
and if you don't smile and flirt then you get fired. the customers don't even care, but the management does.
our cashiers also can't sit down, ever.
Everyone hates working for American companies when they try and push American customer service onto anyone else.
I don't want to be told thank you for calling the company, I'm calling because there's a problem because I want something not to have a chat. It's so cringe-worthy.
and lots of service people flirt to get bigger tips, and it's fake AF.
Like every other waitress loves to tell me how young I look for my age. I know they are lying trying to get an extra few bucks. The bartenders/waiters don't do that... but they are friendly and chill.
Guess who I tip more?
wait i've read this joke before. the one with a bigger owl?
I'm pretty sure they aren't supposed to talk you out of your expensive and addictive purchases.
They totally blew it by asking if she was being genuine...
Maybe you could ruin your good looks by dating someone like me?
The best one I can think of right now would be something like "I get to talk to cute girls more often." But almost anything else would be better.
I gotta level the playing field for everyone else somehow
Okay, tbh that's not on anon this time
Nah, keep smoking, maybe get cancer, you'll finally have something to talk about at parties.
Oh yes, cancer issues are a party topic favourite.
You can get away with a lot of zingers from behind bullet-proof glass.

Be warned:
If you find yourself getting angry (or god forbid, agreeing) with something Anon has said, you might be doing it wrong.

FYI: service industry is obligated to be nice to you. Please don't flirt back.
