I don't want corporate social media full stop. As soon as there is a profit motive things will always slowly decay.
I just hope it's viable to survive on grants/donors a la Wikipedia. Add some "awards" like on reddit, and that should help as well.

Aye, but these things need running like a business. They are too expensive and too complicated, they need oversight, planning, and proper governance if they aren't single user personal instances. Opencollective seems to work well for Mastodon for funding and might work for Lemmy too.
Yeah, personally I would've gladly paid a few bucks a month for an unlimited API key that I could've used in Apollo for the utility I got out of Reddit if they also had some sort of data privacy policy. Casual users could've continued to use the site or the official app that dealt out ads.
It's probably a good idea to limit/defederate with this when it shows up, as it's a vector for EEE and Meta will be doing the usual data collection shit they do with their users, but now with Fediverse users as well. They just got hit with a big fine for violating the GDPR.
It will use activity pub....... until it gets adoption and then it will close the doors like they did with XMPP. Also its Facebook so anything they touch should be avoided like the plague. They have proven time and time again they are not to be trusted, they were in the Snowden docs & they have had numerous lawsuits against them.
"and if you don't know , now you know"
Meta's main income stream is data mining and they will take advantage of federation to collect data (not metadata, but human-generated content is still very valuable for AI model training) of users on federated instances. Any content that federates over to this instance will be cached on Meta servers where they can do whatever they like with it. There is no legal data protection framework for content retrieved from federated networks and Meta's lawyers will try to argue that federating with this platform counts as giving consent to the platform's TOS. Meta platforms introduce lots of advertising and bots to the network. Don't just ignore this platform, give them the Gab treatment.
If a large corp wants to do what you’re suggesting, they don’t need to launch a big announced project.
They can spin up a federated instance with just one user and no references to who owns it, then have patsy accounts on other instances subscribe to their instance and get all the data they want sent to their semi secret instance.
It would be very difficult to identify this in a large, healthy federation with tons of users and lots of small personal instances.
Anyone can scrape data and corporations are already doing it. But data scraping is considered a legal gray zone and companies can be prevented from accessing data that they are not legally authorized to use, which is why companies like OpenAI retrieve their training data from data dumps and don't just run web crawlers across the entire internet. A publicly announced platform with an appropriate clause in its Terms of Service can grant Meta the legal ownership of all data from the fediverse that arrives on their platform.
Yep I agree. I saw a similar sentiment on discord regarding data harvesting and defederation. They are going to do it regardless and there’s not much anyone can do to stop them.
If these large sites start communicating via activitypub, it will be interesting to see how it changes dynamics. It would be interesting to be able to see and follow friends from social networks I left behind over the years.
This is from the company that weights anger five times higher than likes for its algorithm. The one that is trying to force feed me "shorts" with no ability to opt out. So much of the Facebook experience is non-consensual. I wouldn't touch another platform from them.
It depends. How much porn are we talking?
I genuinely believe this could be successful.
Mastodon STILL has UX issues, and the rest of ActivityHub and the Fediverse are impenetrable to the average person. That will change over time, but in the meantime, I can't even get people to use Signal for god's sake, let alone explain which Lemmy instance is best for them.
I still have an Instagram because my friends do. Without Instagram DMs and iMessage, I lose real life connections. If they fold in a Twitter-esque client to Instagram, that I can interact with from Mastodon if I want? That sounds like a really strong value proposition to me, and is the only way your non-techy friends are joining this parade any time soon.
But also, we've got to make sure these massive companies don't snuff out what Lemmy and Mastodon are building. There's a group of suits somewhere right now thinking of how to monetise this platform, and we need to be prepared for that.
It will use ActivityPub.
When the Twitter exodus to Mastodon happened at the end of last year, everyone was speculating what would happen if Google would enable Activity Pub for Gmail and suddenly every Gmail user would be able to post (and what would happen after they start monetizing it with ads).
That never happened but this is the first time one of the billion dollar tech giants has actively published their intention of creating something in the fedi-space. And of course it has to be Meta. One of the shadiest of the "big tech".
I'm extremely skeptical of their good intentions and I'm a bit worried about what will happen to fediverse after all those 1.2 billion MAU's start flooding the protocol.
I said this on Mastodon last night, but I just don't see a way this works out in Meta's favor. They can't "take over" or run Fediverse out of business, and any instance worth being on is going to block them immediately, and it's going to let people know about Fedi who might not otherwise have known about it. What is the plan here exactly?
Pretty much my thoughts as well.
My bet is that they're going to allow other people from the fediverse to post on it but won't allow instagram users to see other instances. Wouldn't want your customers getting off the official servers now.
I think the other way around is more likely. Their users having normal access in and out, but outsiders having limited access to Meta content. Going for the "exclusive club" vibe and making the users feel "special" will keep most of them in the garden.
Hard pass. Meta doesn't need any more of my data.
They said it will be able to connect with Mastodon, so there is zero need imho. I guess it's more aimed at the casual user who doesn't care much about data collection.
What I wonder more tho, how is Meta planning on not getting blocked by most Mastodon servers out of fear they'll go grab all data possible from any server they federate with? Most Mastodon users aren't exactly pro-Meta and pro-give all your data away...
It’s Meta, you might as well ask ‘should the henhouse accept the fox’s invitation to a hearty banquet this evening?’
Meta has the capacity to make really evil products, let's not start the EEE treadmill.
Yep, I think the best chance the fediverse has is for corporations to get on it and find ways to monetize it. I personally won't be joining any servers that aren't well behaved with my data and feed, but they are free to create such servers.
The only world where the fediverse is successful is one where corporations are on it too.
Normally, I would be against this, however, does the average instance owner have the money to maintain a server? No.
Are you young? If so, it might just be micro-blogging you don't like (since that's all we get from person-oriented media these days).
Fuck meta
nope lol. last thing this world needs is "twitter... AGAIN!" (and that's coming from someone who actually uses bluesky). best thing i can hope for is that it won't be an embrace, extend, extinguish scheme for activitypub.
I don't want anything else related to Meta...
I stopped using Fb years ago and had to use it again not long ago because I moved countries and the demographic here can't stop using Fb/Instagram/Whatsapp for everything related to business.
But if it uses ActivityPub (and from my understanding that's decentralized), couldn't I just use my Mastodon account to interact with people there? Would that mean that my Instagram (or, in this case, "Threads") account can potentially communicate with Mastodon accs as well?
It seems to me that the only reason Meta would embrace ActivityPub is so they can federate and scrape our data from the fediverse. Not only would I not use their platform, but I would block my instance from federating with them.
i'm sure this has to have appeal for someone, but i can't think a person this less appeals to than me. i literally only use twitter because it's incredibly useful for following happenings pretty much anywhere, and i cannot imagine anybody i care about is going to full-time switch to this platform. people are struggling to even switch to Jack's exact clone!!
i'm pretty confident most of the benefits of Bluesky are also literally just "it doesn't have all the users Twitter does" because their wait list is what, 2 million? of course the site isn't a shitshow, it has like no people! and when it does, it'll go just like Twitter, lol.
Dorsey's one is the cryptobro version of Twitter (nostr). The one that says "all moderation must be done at instance level because free speech".
It doesn't have a single website (it's mostly apps) but you can use web clients like https://web.nostrid.app/ to find out it seems to be populated with cryptobros and conspiracy theories.
At least BS tries to do something fediverse-like, although they've gone public before they managed to get their federation working so who knows how long that will last.
I was able to get into BlueSky thanks to a random person giving me an invite. The userbase is about 100,000 but I'd say maybe 10-15% are actually participating in the community.
It has a very chaotic, early Twitter feel to it. There's a perpetual reply chain called "The Hellthread", which has replies numbering in the thousands daily where folks are chatting, sharing memes, selfies, what have you. The userbase seems to be mostly hard-leftists, shitposters, and the LGBT community (some of the most popular users embody all three of those).
Honestly? I like it. The users there are very chaotic in poking fun at the world around them, but are incredibly supportive and positive to each other. Of the alternatives to Twitter I've tried, BlueSky (jack's shittiness aside) is the service that reminds me the most of why I liked Twitter before it went to hell with bots and misinformation campaigns.
Not likely in the slightest.
Not if Meta is managing it. I don't particularly trust them with my data so I'm not going out of my way to give it to them
Yeah, that could really be dangerous, they probably want to do an "embrace, extend, extinguish" with the Fediverse.
Facebook is not something that I want to see approaching the Fediverse, they are the antithesis of that free and open philosophy.
If I wanted to use a Twitter clone, I would use Mastodon.
No
The idea of getting involved with any kind of corporate media at this point turn to my stomach, especially after all this happened in the last couple years.
Why in God's name would anybody invest any time and energy into yet another corporate platform that will just be yanked, or turned into a nightmare when some corporate man baby decides he hasn't had enough profits to keep himself in new yachts.
I'm sick of it, have absolutely no intention whatsoever of participating in that crap anymore.
“We’ve been hearing from creators and public figures who are interested in having a platform that is sanely run, that they believe that they can trust and rely upon for distribution,”
I think someone hasn't been paying attention to the reputation of Facebook. Between Cambridge Analytica, being used to stir civil unrest, spreading Q-anon conspiracy theories to all the boomers, and fostering an entire genocide in Myanmar, Facebook has lost a lot of trust.
I do think it's fascinating that they are hopping on the ActivityPub bandwagon though.
I know this is not the right audience for this, but that is an exceptional move on Meta's side, and the timing is perfect. Meta has produced so much garbage with the metaverse and all that stuff, so this seems like the first good idea they had in a while.
Meta == no deal Zucky boy.
Meta is in it for profit. So you have to ask what they’re stand to gain by offering a federated service (presumably for free). Do they think they can get free data, perhaps? I have no idea, but it’s tempting to want to block them just in case. Costing ActivityPub maintainers money so you can steal user data to sell for money isn’t exactly ethical…
I’m trying to think generously, but struggle to imagine other ways they might be able to profit off the Fediverse.
The Meta Plan:
”Meta will be…”
NO!!!!
You won't embrace Meta? A company driven by profit for whom promises are disposable and privacy laws are decorative?
2014, Oculus' founder: I guarantee that you won't need to log into your Facebook account every time you wanna use the Oculus Rift."
2020, Oculus: all new users of Oculus headsets to log-in with a Facebook account starting in October, and that existing users would also be required to log-in by the end of 2022 if they wanted to retain full use of their headsets.
Your Instagram verification status will transfer over.
Cool! So everyone can know that i have $15 in disposable income every month and that i paid to dox myself
It's neat to see them using ActivityPub, but I'm really wary of anything created under the Meta/Facebook umbrella. We'll have to wait and see if they decide to act in good faith with this which my biases make me doubtful they will.
Also, if they're using ActivityPub, why would I have to join if I can just loop in with my existing Mastodon account?
They did the same thing with jabber / XMPP back in the day. There was a time where I could use my jabber accout to talk to ppl on FB. They (and also Google) turned that off and unfederated. They'll do the same thing here.
Why would a big company want to use a federated protocol like ActivityPub anyway?
90s Microsoft loved using standards to get a leg up only to try and add stuff on top to ultimately make the people just using the non-MS improved standard into 2nd class citizens.
It was called Embrace, Extend, Extinguish.
I have no reason to think that Meta aren't trying to do exactly this
It will use ActivityPub.
Doesn't this mean I can interact with the entire ecosystem without ever touching their app (ie from Mastodon or any of them)? Or have I misunderstood the systems in place here?
Nah. I'm on Mastodon. If they use AcitivtyPub and are accessible, all well and good. But I'm done with the corporate ad-supported web if at all possible, and there is literally no way Meta/Facebook won't try to leverage people's posts/information for advertising.
I avoid everything by Meta, so I won't be using it no matter what.
They wouldn’t want me anyway.
I’m capable of understanding that companies like Meta only want to profit off my personal information and sell advertising. Regardless of what their PR team says, they won’t value or respect the community. I don’t care what they call it, what software they’re using, or what technical tricks they’ve got to offer. No, I won’t be joining.
No to anything by Meta/Facebook. The platform that refused to show me what I subscribed to and tried to constantly jam pointless political rubbish down my throat, then effectively disabled my account when I removed my data.
I'm also blocking them if they appear in my Mastodon feed.
I hope it very much doesn’t get defederated. Meta’s service would have less of a lock-in effect if it could communicate with other servers. The primary reason people stick to platforms like Facebook & co. is that their friends and family are on it; but if they can keep talking to them on a different platform, they’re suddenly much more susceptible to ditching Meta and ditching apathy in regards to privacy.
Be seemingly friendly to Meta and any other social media company that starts using ActivityPub — so that we can get normies to ditch them and join the libre side. :)
(ofc, this position is on a case-by-case basis and hinges on how exactly federation is handled by the service at hand. We'll see!)
Or alternatively: FB users can access anything, but outsiders have somehow limited access to its content. Or whatever else they come up with in an attempt to kill open source services. I don't trust them one bit.
If they do that I don't think anybody wants to be federated with them
Anything from Facebook or whatever they wanna call themselves is a no-go for me. It’ll surely have a lot of sheeple flocking to it and some people who need the public exposure (brands, influencers etc) but I’m happy away from that kind of a platform. If they do make it interoperable with something mastodon or kibn that would be interesting.

No, but it will be funny to watch Elon’s reaction when it launches.
Thats a big FUCK NO
Meta .....nope nope nope nope nope nope nope nope nope nope nope nope nope nope nope nope
I'm only on Facebook just because of family and some IRL friends. My instagram is pretty much dead. And I would not going to join yet another Meta platform seeing how a cesspool Facebook is now.
I already avoid Twitter, why would I join a Twitter clone?
Over my dead body. I'd never trust a single thing from Meta. Their track record is absolutely horrific in every way possible.
Google wouldn't be much below them for me I have to say.
I dunno. Google is just driven by greed, they are bad but at least they are predictably bad. Facebook feels more like they are genuinely evil, like they are actively trying to make the world worse.
Google is fairly bad, but a lot of that badness imo stems from them being so ubiquitous and controlling so much of the internet. If Meta, Amazon or TikTok were in that kind of position, I honestly think they would behave even worse.
Join anything from Meta? Hell naw!
Plus, it will be integrated with Instagram? Even further hell naw!
Lol fuck no. Look how well corporate centralized platforms have worked out.
Hell no. Fuck Meta and fuck Mark Zuckerberg.
No chance.
I say it’s cool to see a big company like Meta dipping it’s toes into ActivityPub and possibly cross-platform compatibility. I think that has the chance to expose more people to to the paradigm, and I really do think that more people should consider it. I’m wary about how Meta may approach it and what Meta may choose to do with it in time, but in sum, I’m in favor of it.
That sure doesn’t mean that I will be on Meta’s platform though 🙈.
I think it’ll be good for wider exposure, but I am wary of Meta’s history. Mastodon looks like it’ll scratch the Twitter itch in me plenty fine, and I’m of the understanding that Mastodon’s larger instances are pretty respectable in how they operate. Once I get my domain set up so I can don some self-hosted handles, I’ll be going with Mastodon’s services over Meta’s.
This is pretty much my sentiment, too. With the growth of federated social media, it's pretty much inevitable for big players to have their own. My only hope is that since it's decentralized, people aren't going to get stuck and forced into a single platform's experience.
It sounds like nobody will, but Instagram influencers are actually a different kind of population, it's actually rather clever of meta to transfer the verification status. We wont be just talking about influencers but also athletes and celebrities.
Personally I wouldnt open an account, but I wouldn't be surprised if these celebrity followers will create one for the fomo
Also speaking of IG, I'm still amused why Meta has yet to full utilize IG's Stories. They kept pushing influencers to use Reels, but the bulk of their influencing is in the Stories.
No.
Easiest question of my life.
I will stick with Mastodon
Try hive social as an Instagram alternative! It's great (as a user of hive)
I will definitely check that out.
Coming at this from a slightly different angle, as I do use Instagram and it was responsible for helping my YT channel and therefore my business in general take off.
I'm already on Mastodon, so would have no need to use this. However, I've really come to despise IG and find interacting with it to be more of a chore than anything. So an option for my friends and viewers from IG to communicate with me without me having to actually log in over there? I can just stay on Mastodon and run everything from one place? Sounds fine to me!
(pending evidence of good faith as discussed elsewhere in thread)
(pending evidence of good faith as discussed elsewhere in thread)
I think that's going to be one of the big ifs about the new platform. The optimist in me really wants to give Meta the benefit of the doubt here. If they do this "right," I think it has the potential to do great things for building up content and exposure and letting people do things their way. But admittedly I have some wariness of Meta, and I'm aware that it's likely in their MO to mess things up in the name of profit or similar.
I suppose the approach I'll end up taking will err towards a Wait and See perspective 🤷♂️
Yup. Completely with you on everything you just said.
I can't trust big tech to do anything remotely good anymore, after what's happened with... well, basically every single social media platform owned by them. I'm sure I'll take a peek at it but I haven't touched Facebook or Instagram in years for several reasons, so I really don't want to give Meta any more of my attention.
Thank you but i would rather chew off my own arm than be under the thumb of Meta again. It's bad enough that my tattooers are on Instagram, the only thing i use my account for since years and i have to have Messenger to chat with friends; i refuse to engage with any more Meta shit
I don’t really get Twitter so I won’t but even if I did I would choose a Mastadon instance over a Meta product.
Wouldn't even consider it for a second, fuck the Zuck!
No interest whatsoever. I don't like Facebook (I refuse to call them meta) or any of it's subsidiaries. Mastodon works great for my Twitter like needs.
I do hope that most instances block them though, for obvious privacy reasons but also because it would be hilarious as it would basically invalidate one of the major selling points of the ActivityPub protocol for them.
I have my Masto account set up to auto-delete most of my posts after a while. If Meta connects to the fediverse, I have absolutely zero confidence they will honor those deletion requests.
Not sure how to grapple with that yet, generally speaking I don't think one of the social media giants embracing ActivityPub necessarily has to be a bad thing.
Fuck no.
Unpopular opinion: yeah, probably. Facebook and Instagram have come a long way in tackling misinformation and hate speech since 2016. Obviously they aren't perfect, but now that Twitter is pushing that shit into my recommendations I want updates from my feed without having to support Twitter.
That being said I've never interacted with Twitter much, only used it for updates, so it's not like Meta will get anything from my limited personal data.
No. What's the Web 2.0 version of Embrace, Extend, Extinguish. Because that. Oh, and because that company is toxic waste. No, worse that that. At least toxic waste comes with the promise that enough work would leave it inert.
Hard pass.
No way I’m touching anything facebook owns
Since I don't have FB, IG nor twitter...nope.
Remember when Google used XMPP? The history repeats itself.
Facebook did too! Facebook Chat was one of the best XMPP servers around, actually, in terms of client support.
I never had any desire or need for Twitter in the first place, so no. Corporate or not, I just don't get what people like about that style of social media.
Absolutely not. I'm fine sticking with Mastodon. Fuck Meta.
Yuk. No thanks.
Oh, eww. A Meta/Twitter mashup? No. Just no.
I loathe Facebook, although my church uses it, so I'll grudgingly check it once in a blue moon. Never quite got the whole Twitter concept. Used Twitter intensively only once or twice for simulcast commentary back when the Sharknado series was a thing. And found I could sometimes get faster customer service on (for instance) airline snafus, when company portals were unresponsive, and phone queues required waiting through 3 hours of drecklich Muzak.
Why? We already have mastodon.
Why? Just why would they do that? They already have instagram and facebook. And now they want to literally make a clone of another product
Isn't Facebook already like Twitter but for older people?
I think Facebook & Zuckerberg can go fuck themselves.
I will probably test it out to see it, but I doubt I’ll use it for long.
My Twitter was pretty small and mostly just friends and news organizations that I followed, then I pretty much abandoned it for Mastodon. I “use” Facebook but mostly just to lurk and see pictures of friends’ kids.
Obviously people here will refuse categorically, including me. The question is whether the rest of the world will
No, in fact I think this would make me less active on Instagram than I was before... And I'm not very active on it.
This is because If can use my mastodon account to communicate with Instagram users, then why do I also need an Instagram account?
I on principle don't delete accounts, I just park them and go inactive.
Fuck that. I'm sure it'll be at least somewhat popular, especially if they push it in the Instagram app. When I use Twitter though, it's for shameful doomscrolling that never lasts long; it makes me feel like an addict who just relapsed
I have 0 trust that Meta can properly moderate their new platform, I'll stay as far away as possible
Really hard to trust Meta. They could help advance ActivityPub. Or maybe they go full Microsoft Embrace Extend Extinguish and damage the Fediverse. Or it could be benign. Look at XMPP where it was adopted by big companies but they eventually stopped federating and down the line replaced it with their own proprietary protocols.
Seems very unlikely for me. I have been actively avoiding anything Meta
Just think of how Facebook has ruined Instagram and has made it basically unusable. Unless you enjoy to get spammed with ads, never see what people you follow post, and get tons of reels that you never cared about in the first place. Never in my life will I ever use or buy anything from Meta and that android Zuckerborg.
helllllllllllll no. long live the fediverse 💙
right. and all meta wants to do is sell your personal and usage data. meta doesn't give two farts about community or open source, imo
It this the start of "Embrace, extend, and extinguish"?
100% it is
Meta product.....part of the fediverse?
Anyway hell naaaw
@thegreenguy @cih @hellothisisdog just defederate from it
Naaah, never.
Absolutely not. I trust Meta with my data as far as I can throw any of their workers, and last time I checked (which tbf was in high school, but hey, not much has changed on this front), I can only lift like 40 lbs (again, it was high school and I'm trying to make a joke).
no, because the dalai lama will be on it, i dont wanna support slavery
I'll still prefer Mastodon
Not in the least. I have Mastodon for short form brain farts, Cohost for essays (though it seems to be more of a Tumblr replacement these days), and Beehaw/Lemmy for feeding my unending thirst for random tidbits of knowledge. Corporate social media can go pound sand.
Facebook behaved immorality. It rebranded as Meta, and now they want to trick some, by saying that Instagram is making a Twitter Clone... Facebook was already Twitter's competition, from 2006 onwards.
This is my long-winded way of saying "nope".
And give more power to Facebook? No. Sorry, I still call meta "Facebook." I kind of an old head despite being young.
@cih@beehaw.org @technology@beehaw.org still Meta 🤮
I hadn’t thought about or had an account on their shit in sooooo long…years and years…then they got me when I purchased oculus for two of my kids Christmas before last. Making a profile on Facebook depressed me so bad.
I never really used Twitter to begin with, minus to follow some news, protests, and a few NBA players. I wouldn't mind Twitter having some competition though so I could drop it entirely!
Not a chance, I use Facebook only for groups (have rats so in a few niche groups), and the Meta quest headset since it was what I could afford for VR and it's standalone (shame it's not owned by oculus anymore). Other than that I refuse to use metas products and have never felt the need for twitter.
no, and I hope the Fediverse will defederate from them. judging by the discussion I've seen so far though, it's not likely to happen.
Big time nope.
The large tech companies have shown us who they are. My time and what little money I do have will go to supporting the Fediverse.
HARD PASS
I don't even have meta/ig account
The choice is between Zuckerberg or Musk? JFC, I guess Musk wins in assholery and malice but it's a really close one.
if they're using activitypub will it federate?
They would have to pay me handsomely for me to even consider it.
hell no
Roflmao!
Nope. Musk is an evil moron, but Meta isn't better.
That said, I never used Twitter either.
Haha, oh god, never. I disliked Twitter, but I hate Meta
I might have a lurker account. Honestly, in the short time i've been on the fediverse it would have to be very compeling to do so. It's much better here.
I haven't used a Meta product (or twitter) in years. I have no plans on going back. Neither of these businesses inspire confidence.
No. I don't want to go anywhere near that company.
I love the aspect of it being tied to ActivityPub and I do still utilize Instagram primarily as a way to communicate with friends and family, so I'm willing to give it a try. However, I don't think it will replace the love I have for Mastadon or be able to match the aspects of Mastadon that I really enjoy: the positive communities, personalization, no algorithm, etc.
Hard pass
Not very interested, except if everyone I follow on twitter moves there (which I doubt would happen, as most are rather trying to move to mastodon). But it would sure be nice to have a twitter that's not run by fucking elon musk. Meta aren't saints and facebook has been trash for many years, but they've never implemented absolutely dumb decisions as far as I know or made fools of themselves really. Nor does Meta's CEO keep spouting reactionary nonsense and trying to be the center of attention at all times. I won't ever install a Meta app on my phone, but I still think I actually prefer Zuckerberg over absolute clowns like Musk or Spez.
I've never really liked Twitter and couldn't get behind it. I've also never used Mastodon, but from a glance it appears to be a twitter replacement? Why not push that instead of Meta bullshit?
Ignoring my general problems with Meta, I find Instagram very clunky in general. Pass.
Absolutely not.
I do wonder how this will shake out. While I personally won’t be participating, lots of my friends (older gen z) deleted/abandoned their twitters but kept instagram. Some of them even use that little “status” thing that can show up on the top of your messages.
I might set it up, since I already use Instagram, but I'm not sure how much I'll use it.
I would if I were them. I've checked out of Twitter a long time ago and just have ig for the small cases information is only available there. I won't join, but if they wanted to do something like Twitter the time is now.
Two words
Twitter porn
No thanks; I'm interested in seeing what they come up with as competition is generally a good thing, however, I have zero interest in being a product anymore.
Absolutely not. I dislike how much of my data I gave them over the years that I used Facebook. Don't want to start giving them that data again.
I think I speak for a lot of people when I say we've had enough of Twitter clones it's about time to start making some more fucking Reddit clones. Not everybody likes fucking Twitter Jesus Christ
Why wouldn't it be? Twitter doesn't have ownership of the entire concept of microblogging or anything
thanks for using Leebra!
go to feed...
No, I don't want corporate social networks who farm data.
save
