Russia isn't even claiming to be socialist
Why they simp so hard for Russia's imperialist war, I'll never know

Campism was a fucking mistake.
Western hegemony is brutal if you're not part of the club. I wish there was a real path to breaking it up without replacing it with more of the same imperial shit.
they are the most right wing country out there comparetively.
Unless it is sponsored by CIA, then again Imperialism TM
They like Putin for the same reason the MAGAts like Trump.
Fetterman is proof that Trump's best strategy would be to ban helmets.
Remove the restrictions against lead paint and leaded gasoline.
It's not like people wear them anyway, even when riding on fast e-bikes and scooters. Out of the many I see every day, maybe 20% of the riders I see actually wear a helmet. They think they're invincible until they have a serious accident. No grey matter to protect inside those skulls.
I thought they were Nazis?
Who? Russians?
The power broker that's missing from the equation is the United States.
We're willing to milk war to maximize business interests and returns, and this is no exception. Decisive victories and diplomacy alike run counter to that goal.
Currently getting trounced by Iran however is suggesting there is little actual power to broker anymore, outside of classic nuclear holocaust.
They are using the Russian version of diplomacy. Gotta speak the lingo.
This smacks of ableism. It's not these peoples fault they were born with a severe developmental disability.
Don't make fun of them, just celebrate their trying by saying something like "Oh, wow, Billy! I can't believe you learned so much about politics! You are very smart! Would you like a cookie?"
I swear every time I hear the argument it's from a right winger with no thinking ability whatsoever.
It always goes like this.
Them: violence is wrong! It's never the answer. Me: so what about Ukraine? Should they simply let Russia take whatever? Them: They should sort it out diplomatically, of course.
I mean at this point the only viable solution is diplomacy. Europe didn't do enough to prevent the war, and then didn't do enough to punish Russia in the early stages of the war (no air support, slow deliveries). The frontlines haven't been moving meaningfully for years.
So, at this point we either send soldiers to retake territory occupied by Russia, or we help negotiate a settlement. There's absolutely no appetite for sending European soldiers.
Smaller Country: "I want to choose my own path forward for the future"
Big Country #1: "I own you. I will murder the shit out of you if you ever think about leaving me"
Big country #2: "I will send help to Smaller Country to stop Big Country #1"
Communist Rube #37245: "I cannot tell the difference!"
False equivalence, saying this needs to be resolved diplomatically as soon as possible in order to avoid Ukraine losing even more negotiating power, inevitable economic and population collapse and fall into more Western debt for for the Russia-NATO proxy war does not support the Russian invasion and is objectively better for the average Ukrainian cause yes, war is terrible, Ukraine is caught in the cross fire of an inter-imperialist war, many socialists rightfully dismiss it to avoid taking the side of and escalate either NATO or Russia but of the average Ukrainian worker.
Lol, just lol. Ukraine arent "caught in the crossfire" they are the ones under attack. You betray your intent.
Yes, Ukranian soldiers are the meatgrinder for NATO to harm Russia in a forever war, you got my point!
Does that argumentative technique work for you usually?
Resolved by diplomacy is just a thin veil on Ukraine needs to capitulate and give Russia whatever it wants.
This isn't Ukraine being caught in an inter imperial crossfire, they are being directly invaded.
Like imagine if someone made this same point about one of dozens of countries the US invaded. Like saying the Vietnamese should have just immediately surrendered to the US, or saying Iran should have just surrendered and given them whatever they want. You'd be out here calling the person a boot licker and rightly so.
It's hard to do diplomacy when your opponent doesn't even believe your country is real...
I'm sure if there were mass graves caused by Russia it would be on all the news cycles. Israeli mass graves in Gaza, on the other hand, are glossed over and never talked about again.
Just holding up a mirror to your face.
Russia has a long history of mass casualties and no mention in western media. The only change now is satellites and the internet. It's hard to hide a mass grave from space.

Next.
They had international guarantees already after they got rid of nukes.
We just broke the guarantees. Worthless.
Only Russia broke that agreement. The US & UK have upheld their end.
Hint, do you actually know what's in it ? I suspect not
If the US and UK upheld their end, the Kremlin would have been bombed back to the stone age. But war in unpopular in the west, thanks to all the meaningless wars the US got into.
Only one quarter of Ukrainians are in favor of fighting till victory.
From the article, since no one is willing to actually quote it:
More than three years into the war, Ukrainians’ support for continuing to fight until victory has hit a new low. In Gallup’s most recent poll of Ukraine — conducted in early July — 69% say they favor a negotiated end to the war as soon as possible, compared with 24% who support continuing to fight until victory.
This marks a nearly complete reversal from public opinion in 2022, when 73% favored Ukraine fighting until victory and 22% preferred that Ukraine seek a negotiated end as soon as possible.

Fyi, Ukraine is trying diplomacy. They've succesfully (and rightfully) got Europe to support them. Not enough to get Russia out of Ukraine, but still.
