Well, adapters themselves aren't sufficient because usually headphones with that port (including mine) require a shitton of power to overcome their impedance.
So a whole new DAC (digital-to-analog converter) that can power them¹ is usually required as most devices (with a 3.5 mm jack) are just too weak.
But I only use them with my PC so I got an old PCIe sound card to be able to use them.
¹ Technically you only need an amplifier but a DAC usually contains an amplifier outside of studio level hardware

Lenovo T14 are built like a tank. Bought my first one 20 years ago. Still runs. It's running Proxmox. Battery replaced 3 times. Bought a newerT14 Gen 2. Upgraded the trackpad to glass and it's also bulletproof.

I was thinking about upgrading my gen 3 to the newest one with the LPCAMM2 since I can run LLMs on it, but can't really justify it since Ollama cloud is so cheap.
