not just outdoors. I worked in manufacturing at a place where production was immediately next to annealing furnaces on one side, and shipping on the other, with big truck bay doors constantly open to the outside, no climate control except for box fans and semi-portable AC units, which were only appreciably effective in a small area a few feet directly in front of them. we were also required to wear cut-resistant gloves and sleeves up to the elbow, non-breathable full-length hi-vis uniforms, goggles, and hard hats at all times. there were a small handful of minor heat-related medical incidents every summer. I was honestly surprised when I found out there are no laws that address ambient temperature thresholds for work; OSHA only requires access to clean drinking water
Those requirements are there to protect the company, not us.
I’m from the U.K. FWIW but I’ve complained about heat in the summer and been told “there’s no max heat law” and the cold in the winter…and guess what??

Apparently this is repealing regulations that would be redundant anyway since states already have regulations in place that are specific to their local climate/industries.
MIN wage is something both houses wont touch, because like Healthcare its a useful tool to get people vote for and against it. even when individual cities have raised their own min wage, it isnt enough.
