Lmao tech bros are trying so hard to get out of the AI slop fest pretending it's about safety when in reality it's just a technology that's hit a massive plateau but now we have the trump administration with AI psychosis.
No, he is not really that good at self-assessment at all (he's the poster child for explaining the Dunning-Kruger phenomenon) and apparently does think he knows and thinks all we need is a "STRONG AND SMART PRESIDENT".
President Trump lashed out at calls for new AI guardrails and protections on Monday, arguing AI only needs a "STRONG AND SMART (High IQ!) PRESIDENT" and that AI critics should "BEWARE!"
I mean, I wish we had a smart President in the White House right now. It's hilarious that tiny-d donnie thinks he is both strong and smart, though.

If they sat him down and explained that, no actually we are just saying that to cover our asses because our financials in no way justify the absolutely insane amount of money investors have pumped in, so we are trying to hold on long enough to pass the buck to the public markets, he would 100% say some garbled stream of consciousness version of that at the next press conference. So they are stuck with him being against it because it sounds weak, which is stupid, but hey the stupid vote won the election.

I kind of like the direction all this latest "AI" is going.
I used the "Dog ate my homework" trick at work about how all my templated prompts and history have disappeared from a certain timeframe. My boss even had me open a support ticket with the vendor supplying the LLM. They said it must not be recoverable due to the nature of how AI works. I basically took a 2 week vacation and no one has any fucking clue about how stupid this shit it.
Depending on the tool you can get all of it locally. Claude code stores all the past 30 days locally.
Ya know I kinda hope LLMs collapse in total and just fucken nuke anything that even resembles unproven AI development just because it'd piss these fuckwits off.
Trumps AI force does one thing - make slop videos to punch down on minorities and ridicule anyone who opposes him. Like a tween edgelord.
