Hey! Welcome to /c/lemon πŸ„β€β™‚οΈ

This community is for discussions about Lemon, an upcoming iOS app for Lemmy.

The app is in pre-alpha, but I am hoping to get it onto Test Flight in the next 1-2 weeks, free time permitting πŸ˜…

If you'd be interested in getting a test flight link, drop a comment in this thread!

That's all for now πŸ‘‹

domint 16 points 3 years ago

Looking forward to this. With a good IOS app a lot more people could migrate from Reddit. For sure interested in a TestFlight invite.

Know anyone doing android? Fdroid's lacking hard with Jerboa and Lemmur and I doubt the proper play store has any good apps on it?

save

path: 0 339518, hotness: undefined, score: 4, children: 2
bobs_monkey 3 points 3 years ago

As far as I can tell that's kinda it for now. I'm working on Jeroba now, Lemmur couldn't 'find' .one or .ee for whatever reason, at least on my device.

That all said, I'm sure some other options will spring up in due time. All the devs that ran Reddit apps are about to have some free time on their hands, so we might get lucky. I have no problem throwing a couple bucks in a dev's direction, so long as I don't have to keep up a subscription.

Infinity or Stealth would be a nice to add to Lemmy. Either way, glad to hear that Jerboa's getting worked on.

I have not made any of the code public yet, currently it only exists on my laptop. Haven't determined what licensing to go with yet. Hoping to figure all that out over the next few weeks!

Currently no Android version planned, sorry! Maybe in the future but not for a good while. There's more fragmentation in the Android world so it's a bit harder as a solo dev to cover all the devices.
