My point was not that they need the UN, my point was that the UN is an ineffective body that only enforces what the West (mostly America) want. They will sanction you into poverty for standing up to them, and they'll veto every effort to punish genocide they are funding. It's all a big scam.

Sure, change the headquarters every half decade, make them nice, but not too fancy. Then the city is left with a nice building after the country's term is up. Or they could use existing buildings. Only countries that enforce the UN list of human rights can host. Other ideas include a manmade island in the middle of an ocean, Antarctica, and the Moon.

The choice of placement of the UN HQ&GA should be guided by a simple principle: what place in the world is stable enough, neutral enough and independent from external pressure enough to be the place where representatives of all the countries in the globe, regardless of whether they are good or bad or «good» or «bad» can reliably meet without hindrance under a flag of truce.
It's a fucking practical question not a moral one.
