White nationalist march sparks concern in Virginia: ‘Designed to intimidate’
a month ago by TryingToBeGood to c/news

Dude has some amazing designs.
Isn't that what they always have done?
The whole point of the klan is to keep black people down with terror and fear.
The whole point of the klan is to keep black people down with terror and fear.
Not just Black people, anyone that spoke up against the klam, and eventually everyone that wasn't speaking for the klan
It never ends with the first target, and pretending like the first target is the end goal just makes people think they can choose to stay out of it if not part of the initial target demographic.
You can't.
If you ignore it and the fascists win, you're gonna have to kneel to them too.
It's worth being pedantic about, because everyone needs to understand what fascism shows up, everybody fights because eventually everyone not with the fascists is a target
So we stomp it out the first time it shows up, regardless of anything else.
White nationalism is inherently not peaceful. Their "peaceful" march is calling for more power so they can eradicate their domestic enemies by force, before exporting abroad. This march is a threat of violence.
Waving a Confederate flag is terrorism plain and simple. The intent is to cause fear and promote terrorism against minorities.
How embarrassing for you. Were you homeschooled, or are you still in grade school, or are you the worst troll on the internet?
Klan activities and white supremacist demonstrations literally cannot be peaceful, even if they aren't actively hurting people at the moment. These people are literally advocating their "inherent rights" to harm non-whites.
Imagine, for a moment, there existed a group of people. Lets call this group of people the "We think Makhini@lemmy.world is a subhuman group" and this group marched down the streets. Would you not feel terror? Fear?
Does that shit sound peaceful to you, just because they aren't out there lynching people... At the moment.
Found the klansman
Need some FUCK WHITE PEOPLE marches by non-supremacist white people to balance. Get some ridiculous stereotypes of inbred white on display for all the mocking.
I mean I'm white and I'm pretty tired of fucking white people's shit....I'd be at that protest
Ew, if you're fucking anyone's shit, that's gross and you need to get yourself tested.
/S
White people are weird
Why don’t you want white people fighting for your cause as well?
Stomping out hate takes more than a single group of people. We all have to work together to smash nazis
I am white, we need more white people calling out our own shit. Disparaging whiteness to balance the idiots who think a middle eastern god would recognize a bunch of pale ugly fucks as chosen people.
"Disparaging whiteness" isn't the answer. You don't bring balance by promoting more identity-based hate. Punishing yourself for the actions of other white people only reinforces the idea that white people are substantially different from other races, as if you have more in common with the white supremacists than you do with your black and brown neighbors. It pigeonholes people into racial categories.
Platforming inclusivity, acceptance, and multiculturalism is the only thing that can combat hatred and intolerance. Anything else only exacerbates the issue.
But if you'd rather spend your time and energy on self-flagellation just to be accepted as "one of the good ones," no one is stopping you. Just don't be surprised when other white people see that and say "Nope, couldn't be me."
Generations of white inbreeding and bizarre religious cultural control have led to this point. I've heard all my life about what's wrong with blacks, Mexicans, Arabs, Jews, etc., but no one was allowed to criticize the whites. I want to make white people stop perpetuating these problems and it starts with looking at what we need to stop doing or being neutral about.
Well, if you go to those people’s houses, you'd find a lot of portraits of a blond haired, blue eyed jesus.
Never a truck driving through the crowd when they deserve it
something something, very fine people?
Fuck the Nazis. But all these little laws defining what is legal protest can fuck right off.
I'll wear whatever fucking mask and block whatever road I want.
