Oh they know but it's a power trip for them "look at those demented lefties being angry at us, that means we are doing something right".

I think they want this, they have thought for decades they have been repressed because they cant hate you based on choices that only effect you or your personal things, or even better the color of your skin. Now this gives them all the thing to point at "Look they are writing articles about how much they hate us and make our lives harder, we are like the modern slaves"
When will you all start showing them in the most American way possible?
Challenge them to a hamburger eating contest and die from a heart attack?

Just because it was done badly in the past doesn't mean it's fundamentally a bad idea.
If administrated well and fairly, I think it could actually make a democracy function so much better. The problem is trying to implement it well and fairly when the people in charge of doing the implementation are already the incompetent and corrupt result of flawed democracy.

I think they do. I recently saw a guy in a very anti-trump city, wearing a red hat with white text. It said "Trump was right about everything".
You think that guy bought that hat, if he didn't know how hated trump is, and how hated he'd be for wearing it in a city like this?
If they want to be martyrs so bad, perhaps we help them with thier goals. 😈
I don't think they care. If they know, they probably let that fuel their victim complex.
