Stardew valley is basically what I want out of my life, so I might not leave
Picked the wrong day to start a Red Dead Redemption 2 replay rule

Stardew valley is basically what I want out of my life, so I might not leave
Same game and same thought. You mean I get to be a multimillionaire farmer girl who's dating every single eligible bachelor(ette) in the valley simultaneously? I'd give my million dollar prize back if it means I get to stay.
Minecraft. Honestly, send me into the wilderness where I can build a little log cabin by a lake, make furniture, and live off the land. And the only people around are some zombies who don't try to talk to you. Keep your million.
hopefully start in a forest, break leaves for apples, and then follow a river until you find a village or something else to get tools
starting in a desert would be pretty bad unless you can scoop out the insides of cacti to eat. im not sure how much of minecraft rules are steve's doing and how much are the world's
Okay, fair that might be a way to survive (assuming minecraft apples have the same caloric intake as a real apple which i'm not certain of given they're flat), but what about this: How would you pull up the inventory to trade with the villagers? You can't speak their language and they aren't intelligent.
it'd be a rough life without steves stuff
that'd come back to what are the world's features and are steve's
is it steve that breaks and places everything strictly in 1x1 cubes, or is it a limitation on the actual world? is it steve that brings up UIs or is it the villagers?
though i was mostly talking about getting resources from the chests, how would chests work? if you place something in one without going through the UI, does it disapear after 5 minutes? can you take out items without going through the UI?
can you pick up anything without the NBT Tags that hold the information about what items you have? can a person collide with the world without a hitbox? does the person experience gravity? if yes, where would they be pulled? it's only a couple hundred meters of mass under them, with an amount larger than earth around them.
sorry, i got distracted and made this way too long
I think I would enjoy an entire year in The Stanley Parable tbh
As a Forza addict, I think I'll be just fine.
Until you inevitably crash at high speed and die gruesomely
I don't even need to drive. I could just hang out in Tokyo for a year.
Until someone inevitably crashes into you at high speed and you both die gruesomely đ
Normally cars canât enter areas with people. On the off chance they do, they clip right through the people. Also the game basically encourages you to do 1,000ft+ jumps and thereâs no damage if you turn it off.
Just rewind time and do it better....and crash a different way
I'm well travelled, own several starships, and am mostly fluent in gek. Of course I have to fend off daily attacks by pirates and sentinels.
They added Pokémon. Welcome back.
Not sure how I would live in hollow knight silksong exactly do I have to be a bug or would I be myself situated above the zones.
It'll be pretty much the same as your regular life. Just don't look under that one rock in the corner of the yard.
I'm squid!

One or two?
Project zomboid on easy settings (low amount of zombies, zombies are dumb, high amount of loot and easy skill gain). I'd take it. Even regular settings would be a dream in comparison to dealing with state violence, so I'd be pretty happy.
I love that mod! Does it work on stable 42 now?
It tends to treat everyone except a few corpos pretty damn awfully, in fact..
Yeah, it's pretty much "current day US but worse in the same ways" đ€·đ»
I'd do night city.
I think that might be the best of the "worse" options actually. I assume after the year you get back to real live the same form you left. So you can't become a powerful wizard because you spent a year in . You also can't take any items back.
So spend one year of hedonism, drugs, sex and debauchery. Even cut of a few of your limbs, get a cybernetic sex change, just try everything. Because after a year you will be freed of all the consequence. No scars, no addiction, no bullethole.
Itâs rimworld.
I donât want to be a cannibal.
That's fine, but know one day the straw that will break you will be you will be your lack of a dinner table.
As long as Ghandi doesnât nuke me Iâm good
Outer Wilds.
In 22 minutes I and everyone else am dead.
Overwatch. It looks fun from the outside, but I'm forced to participate in short matches where I repeatedly die, come back and kill cute yet soulless people all day long, for a year.
I started eating people on day 3. There is a hole were my humanity used to be. A hole that can only be filed by trembling, bloody, screaming flesh. The hamster was first. He was easy. Then, month after month, I got through the rest of the roster, each one with a different bottle of wine from the Paris deathmatch map. Now my appetite, form and spirit have grown beyond what is humanly conceivable. When the map loads and they see me, they all run and shriek as my many mouths start tearing through their ever fresh, juicy bodies. As if they too were starting to remember their unending, inescapable demise.
One day it will end, but in the meantime I need to feel their bones break and heartbeats fade on my tongues. Such delicious marrow. Such delicious broth.
Overwatch.exe
Pretty good, tbh. I've been playing Palworld and I think I'd do okay, even if I got dropped into a permadeath server. Yeah you gotta grind, but you don't really have to do much of anything, the pals do basically everything for you.
Civilization. I can't escape it.
On the upside, the year is only at most 1 turn. You'll be back in no time.
I'm a diver and would be a clone coming out at the end of the year
Oh, my sweet summer child, you think they're clones?
Lore says they are not. This is why I have my diver voice set to random, canonically every diver is a unique person who volunteered ("volunteered", given it's Super Earth, that word does some lifting) to join.
You wouldn't be coming home at all after a year, unless you somehow manage to get a cushy position operating a super destroyer instead of dropping from one. This is part of the reason they're so revered by citizens in-universe, they are explicitly not clones, just held in cryostasis storage and deployed as needed as highly expendable special forces.
Satisfactory.
A year might not be enough, come back in at least 3.
Infinity uranium goes brrrrrrrrr.
Runescape is so easy nowadays that this seems fine, I could avoid combat skills and become a fisherwoman, eat lobster all day.
I would find it very... Satisfactory.
So I get a million dollars and I'm stuck in a house banging 6 women for a year. I think my wife would wonder where I disappeared to for a year but the million would probably smooth things over.
Stardew Valley?
Think of games that you have a second steam account with no friends list to play.
I figured as much, thought I'd play dumb by deliberately guessing a game that's borderline notoriously wholesome đ
No problem I didn't think you were Being a DIK.
Persona 5, so deeply pessimistic, cynical japan
Game I've been playing the last couple of days is high-ish-magic medieval-style fantasy, which isn't the worst world to live in. Question is whether the protagonists have been through the area yet, otherwise there's nonzero risk of dying from supernatural creature attack or evil cults, on top of goblins and orcs which probably aren't any worse than historic "barbarian" attacks but deadly all the same.
Do you have access to magic? Because if you're just a normal person in a medieval world you have a pretty high chance of dying from an infection from some random small injury, and never mind the monsters or whatever.
Alternatively, if you are an NPC with plot armor you're probably good.
Medieval societies already had some division of labor, even actual medieval medicine experts generally knew enough to treat small cuts. Since it's a relatively high-magic world (Divinity's Rivellon), chances are decent that they have actual healing magic, too (whether that's actually accessible to peasants and random foreigners is another matter TBF). So I'm not saying the medicine I could access would necessarily be great from a rich western country's perspective, but trying to survive there for a year isn't exactly a death sentence, either. Lots of other game worlds would be way worse.
Also, I'm already severely chronically ill and contemporary medicine was so far unable to do anything about it. Actual magic might just do the trick.
You're gonna be the cards, handled by a bunch of sweaty stranger-hands for a year.
I have no idea what that means but

Baldur's Gate 3...
Yeah, I'd take that bet.
I like that people assume they'll be the main character and not just a random NPC.
For instance in GTA you might just have your current life while some gangsters buy burgers.
I'm not assuming that, though.
I don't know about you, but I'm in no way equipped to take care of myself in the 1800s using no modern technology for a year đ
You mean I can like, be in VrChat? Like my character, and my friends, and all these amazing places to go to? Dude sign me up, that's my escape from reality.
I opened elden ring for the first time In years Yesterday, there could be worse games, plenty of safe places to hide
Darktide. Yeah I'm not taking the money.
Hol up while I download LSL5
Took a pause from Helldivers 2 (wouldn't have lasted 10min) to play a Librarian "organize thousands of books" casual game.
I could live quite nicely.
RDR2 for me as well. At least there's options. I would probably play it safe by ditching the gang before I contract tuberculosis and just live as a hunter up in the mountains. The mechanics of the game would make that quite easy compared to IRL.
Alternatively, the epilogue does seem nice.
Not bad, I guess. At least if I'm in my own city, we're pretty set, food and water are both being produced onboard. I guess I'm a bird person now?
So in other words, no real change? đ€·đ»
Who isn't? đ€·đ»
We are all immortal until proven otherwise.
Depends if I play as my character or myself.
Baldur's Gate 3 as my character would be great, his stats are high, he's rich, he's hopelessly in love
Baldur's Gate 3 as myself, I would die, almost immediately, possibly on my way out of camp while tripping and hitting my head on a rock
Witcher 3. I might be a little fucked, but I think I'd have fun before I died. Maybe I could get lucky and be one of the rich folks in a city and live peacefully for a year.
Looks like I picked Power Wash Simulator back up at the right time
Social Democracy: an alternate history, so depends on if I can change things or if I have to live through otl
That actually sounds pretty ideal. I'd just do what i do in the game anyway. Ride my horse, pick flowers, collect skins, camp. Occasionally go into town to get supplies and unload my furs.
But I'd end up in Spiderman. Do i get to be Spiderman or just some shmo on the street?
Noita. I'm so dead. At least it will be spectacular, unexpected or both...
Baba is you I think was the last one. So like, I could become all walls or space, or might accidentally make myself nothing⊠so a fraught existence for sure
Well, I would be royally screwed. I cannot explain why at all due to major spoilers, but I would be stuck in Pokemon Rejuvenation. If you have played the game up until the current final chapter or at least know the story, you know why I am royally screwed.
All I can say is being in the official pokemon game with the most villainous and successful evil team would be paradise because at least I know nobody really ever dies, NPC or otherwise.
Megaman battle network 3, im in heaven
PUBG. Im gonna get murdered a lot, but at least death isnt final, given respawns exist. At least the pubg maps are quite large and interesting to explore.
Im gonna get murdered a lot, but at least death isnt final
Sounds like a Hell loop lol
I would be in Slime Rancher 2. I would be doing pretty alright! I can stay at my ranch and tend to my adorable slimes.
Stay a while and listen!
Celeste
Do I have to climb the mountain? Can I respawn? Can I dash? So many questions... I would love to parkour around if I didn't die. But most of my time would probably be spent just living in a cabin or something.
The bugs will only come to you if you pollute the enviroment
Are you getting brain shelved, getting krunk on kambuchi and then starving to death, or assimilated into a zombified fax machine? Personally im being enslaved by the queens and turned into nutrient slurry
I get to live in medieval Bohemia for a year? Jokes on you I do reenactment I'm all about this shit.
Tell the not so good king Wenceslaus I said hi đ
I'm screwed, Super earth is calling. I can't not pick up the phone (Helldivers 2) (regardless of what role I'm in even not as diver but a civie I'm screwed)
Last game I played is Hitman, so as long as Iâm not a target, enforcer, in 47âs way, or in the world of a kill everyone run, I think Iâd do just fine. I guess it depends on the map, but itâs mostly just the real world. So not much change I donât think. If I can choose which map and my reason for being there I might not wanna go back actually.
This is all assuming I can explain it to my family. Iâm not sure I actually wanna miss a year of my babyâs life, so in actuality I would never do it, but if I had to do it, I think Iâd do just fine.
Mystic Towers...
I can fart, scratch my ass, sniff my fingers, and pick my nose, and there's not any human around to make fun of me.
Still gotta fight off the monsters though, but it's a chance I'm willing to take for a million bucks!
DayZ. I'm dead, unless I can find enough bullets and a car to stand on top of.
God of War (2018). Fimbrulwinter hasn't started yet, and he stays away from populated areas. So long as I don't do anything to piss off the Odin and his kin I should be fine
Just one year in Stellaris?
Hmm... my empire, or someone else's?
Beyond All Reason: statistically iâll spawn as a tick and live a short life of probing enemy defenses with single-file human wave tactics.
i wouldnât consider that to be too terrible. Itâs beautiful and you can entertain yourself nearly endlessly outside of the narrative.
Unfortunately for me I last played 76 to see what had changed. And Iâd definitely go mad since iâve basically done and seen it all outside of some builds i want to try.
i wouldnât consider that to be too terrible. Itâs beautiful and you can entertain yourself nearly endlessly outside of the narrative.
I get your point, but you're overlooking the fact that you'd have to be extremely skilled and self sufficient by modern standards to be able to survive in the 1800s for a year without any modern comforts and technology..
I for one would die or go insane in a few months, I think. Either that or thrive so much that I'll never want to go back đ€·đ»đ
Oh yeah, when you put it that way⊠I do have some survival skills from growing up in the country, but the culture is whatâd probably do me in. Iâd misunderstand someone and get waxed pretty fast most likely.
Yes, those are famously the only duties and restrictions of life as a 15th century nun đ
The plot focuses on the MC trying to solve a murder, which wouldn't be my job. They do all get called out for being terrible women of God. It is implied that this nunnery might be where they send problem women.
Alright, that DOES sound a lot better than your standard nunnery! đ
Planet coaster 2
So, pretty fun!
the monkey paw curls and you end up as a regular guest in a playthrough by someone who tortures all their guests using flamethrowers, fireworks, electric zapping, and crashing things into you.
The Sims⊠I guess depending on whoâs playing it could be good or bad
If I'm playing, you're going to immediately become great at almost everything (by having your every need fulfilled while you study like a manically ambitious lunatic) and become super wealthy and successful until I get bored and leave you alone after a few in-game weeks.
Assuming I remember to turn autonomy back on and you carry on after I close the game, you're gonna have a pretty great year once you're over the extreme stress (that you're not going to register due to said needs staying static) of those weeks đ
Well that depends, am I the "main character", if so do I start at the beginning or where I left off?
I mean, either way in satisfactory I don't require sleep or food or drink, unless I take damage and need to eat some nuts or berries. So just avoid the local wildlife until I get the hover pack.
I remember my first time playing and not wanting to wander too far from the grassy spawn because of all the hostile fauna and unfamiliar terrain.
Now with the hover pack, a full island-spanning rail network with power pylons, dimensional depots with packaged fuel and a jetpack, I'm constantly zipping across the place and half the time I have no idea where exactly I am but I'm just hopping over the wildlife and on the off chance something hits me and I'm offended, I'll toss a nuke at it before flying off.
I just unlocked the nuclear pasta milestone and am currently working on getting the nuclear power situation sorted while I wait for my very slow factories to pump out the space elevator bits.
I could do without ADA trying not to sound like GLaDOS-lite, but I can live with an annoying bot.
The other game I played today was Project zomboid, and as the title card says every time you start a new game, "this is how [I] died"
Legit didn't even last 5 minutes in my starting character in a new world today. Looted the spawn house, leveled a little bit of carpentry and cooking, then got bit in the fucking driveway because I miss-timed my swing. I had a shotgun and axe, too...
Wandering Alchemist. There's people now roaming around the world buying potions, and I can harvest random plants, shove them into a potion, and they'll buy it. Seems good. I'm making money! Maybe! Real life but with people just going "I'll buy a potion with shielding and energy in it!"
Cyberpunk? Night City can't be THAT bad, can it? (It can)
CloverPit
Crap
Pretty bad news for bystanders, I guess đ
Madden NFL 2008?
Last one I played is Pikmin (1), back in 13 August. I'll do fine (unless I am pikmin-sized)
Life in Sanctuary is rough, especially after the destruction of the Worldstone. I've been staying in Westmarch, which should be pretty safe until my year is up.
I tried learning magic, but it only seems to work for people born here, so I'm working as a blacksmith. I'm the greatest metallurgist in the world and have "invented" the steam hammer. They don't have potatoes but the food is otherwise decent.
But not a day goes by that I don't regret this decision. I didn't have a chance to tell my wife and kids where I was going... they probably think I'm either dead or left them. My job and likely my home will be gone. My dad might be gone too. Don't get me wrong, a million dollars is a lot of money. But I already had a good life and fear I may have wrecked it.
I think I may have accidentally brought corona with me here. No need to tell anyone about that one. I just hope nothing comes back home with me.
And as soon as the year passes, there's a flash of light as the VR headset comes off. It's been 1 hour since you took the deal. The money is already in your account. You go home and kiss your wife and hug your children who are so proud of you for being brave enough to take such a risk, even if your wife playfully berates you for not at least calling first. She understands, even concedes she may have done the same given the reward. You and your family live a long and happy life living as comfortably as one can keeping just enough to have stability while driving and funding important activist movements to make the world a better place. The end.
Cheek Breeki I V Damke! I die in the first anomaly.
ignoring pinball, i think mindustry would be fun even if i die a lot :3
The room is dark.
I hear what sounds like an instrument, and some other noise...
I can hear the crowd quietly enjoying themselves.
All of a sudden the lights go up. By some unusual force, my arms raise up.. and down... and up.. and... I'm swaying.... I can't control it. The person next to me seems to be doing the same thing.
I look around and notice that we all are.
Then I hear it. Thud, thud, thud, thud, thud, thud, thud, thud... The kick drum sets the beat.
Not long after, the bass guitar...
Then I see something flying overhead. A huge, green UFO.
The guitarist plays a note and with it, the UFO explodes.
2 more UFOs fly down in quick succession - and both explode.
Then it happens. It must have been at least 30 UFOs. Green, Orange, Red, Blue, Yellow, Yellow, Blue, Green... Some were flying in pairs.. Some even 3 aside.
Hardly any of them were getting destroyed. Most flew right overhead as the band played. Well, I say the band played - the guitarist was fucking awful.
Dead by Daylight so hell no... Life would be a literal nightmare.
ignoring pinball, i think mindustry would be fun even if i die a lot :3
Played through the Simpsons arcade with friends. So I guess could be better could be worse.
Hmm iracing so if the races I go into are clean I'm pretty happy with that trade, if I get stuck in lower splits with people intentionally wrecking others, im probably dead in a few days lol
Anything but New Vegas!
Depends: is that a typo of Oregon, or are you playing a very gory reboot? đ
Nice! đ
Yes.

Project Zomboid, so pretty fucked!
save
