This is a hate space 😤
None of this "what are you thankful for" shit today. What's something you hate?

This is a hate space 😤
Mine is drivers who act like there aren't other people on the road. IE turning into your lane doing greatly reduced speed right in front of you, Doing well below speed limits in faster lanes and refusing to get over, etc.
my city is kind of known for bad drivers. 7 times out of 10 when you're joining the highway, the idiot in front of you is not accelerating and you have to join the 100km/h road doing 50. almost died today because of one of these idiots, they didn't look and there was someone coming from behind and we all had to slam the brakes. oh and it's snowy and icy here, and today it rained.
Ads. I am so fucking sick of ads. I have ad blockers on many things and my next network project will be adding a pihole to my network for network ad block. Sick of it.
My husband has set up a pihole and it’s the best ever. It used to run off an actual raspberry pi but now we have a home server and he got it set up on there. Literally yesterday he also added Tailscale to our computers and phones and it seriously rocks my socks. I don’t even exactly know what it does but suddenly I’m not getting any ads while at my in-laws house on their WiFi so, score! I am not tech savvy enough to know about these things, much less set them up myself, but I am super thankful that my husband aggressively hates ads and I get to benefit from his crusade against them.
Tailscale is a virtual private network (VPN). It connects everything together that is connected to it as though they are all in the same place. You might be physically at your in-laws house but your device is communicating with a private network over your in-laws' network.
I have an executive function disorder, ads literally prey on my disability even as society laughs at the idea of attention being something other than a product of pure limitless willpower.
It's getting crazy. Or I'm just becoming more aware of them.
You sound like me haha. Is there a good Lemmy site to replace r/AdBlock? We need to get like minded people together to form an underground resistance against the ads.
should be illegal tbh
Daylight Saving time, Donald Trump & his supporters, the US healthcare "system", mosquitos, Christmas music, babies on airplanes, hangnails, bigotry and intolerance of other people's cultures, and the Dutch.
Particular ones. Like Dick Schoof.
Christmas music
There are a couple of songs I like, but honestly a lot of it is junk, which wouldn't be too bad if they hadn't already been playing in stalls for half a month.
The Grinch wears a top hat.
This drives me up the wall here on Lemmy and it manifests itself in so many ways. People just being outright shitty and calling each other names over a difference in opinion like "shitlib" rather than listening to what they're saying.
Or even those who misinterpret why they're being downvoted and start spitballing while using that as an opportunity to grind their axe. "Oh, poor me is being downvoted for having these perfect ideals, it's the grander community who hates me, wah!" No, you're just being hardheaded and causing your own problems, why are you blaming everyone else?
Gah! 🙄
I hate how a lot of men make the rest of us look bad. Can we just chill out for a bit? Like, can guys stop beating on their wives, molesting children, raping, and murdering? Please? Idk what to do besides just be chill myself and try to encourage others to be the same. Let's just read some books with some piano in the background.
It's an absolute shit show.
Women have it bad. Honestly I don't know how how you all have the patience to try to figure out which guy isn't a psycho.
As a cis het man, I know that alone is enough to make some women say "pass".
I feel like if men learned more about consent and empathy and stopped listening to assholes like Andrew Tate or Joe Rogan, we'd be in a much better state.
Had my first creep encounter at night outside after transitioning. Nooot fun lol
No patience, just sheer terror.
It's mainly a white man and Indian man (aka pick mes) thing, but black men and Latino men are catching up.
people who blame you for the actions of others are idiots and dicks.
stop feeling guilty by association, have some pride in yourself.
I don't feel guilty by association, and I am proud of how much I've grown and accomplished this far, I'm happy with myself - still hate those guys making the rest of us look bad though, and deservedly so.
People succumbing to all those biases do suck, but also I think collectively it sucks when there are people out there padding those stats and feeding into those biases further.
nah bro, you don't understand. you and anyone penis having adjacent are personally liable for the actions of every man...
or so feminist theory says.
weird though that when a woman rapes a kid, or beats someone, or murders someone... not all women are responsible for her actions... she's just some lone psycho..
The number of men that do those things compared to the number of women doing those same things aren't in the same ballpark.
I would like to add a holiday that once celebrated peace, but now celebrates militarism and war: Veterans Day (US). Not long ago, it was St. Martin’s day, a feast that commemorates a Roman soldier who abandoned his military office to become a monk. It was customary to sign peace treaties on his feast day for this reason. Included in this was Armistice Day, the end of World War 1. Eventually in the US this was changed to Veterans Day in 1954.
i mean, have you tried either?
helping your community is a task of endless need and criticism that opens you up to personal liability and attack. like i have been verbally assaulted and threatened by people for helping my community. i've never encounter that at my place of employment.
earning lots of money and buying shit is way more fun and easy. when i stay at a hotel the hotel staff don't threaten to beat the shit out of me.
i have been verbally assaulted and threatened by people for helping my community
I am curious now, tell us the story
i have been verbally assaulted and threatened by people for helping my community
Yup, that's real. I was once berated for offering free HIV testing at a Pride event. I guess the guy took it as a personal affront because he likely was HIV positive and thought what we were doing was ridiculous. But he did take the opportunity to try to make me look and feel bad in front of other people by mocking me and being absolutely rude. Like, you could've just said no. You don't need to insult an underage kid to feel good about yourself.
Any kind of gambling, any kind of magic thinking
I put my pants on one pant at a time.
Depression
What the fuck
What the actual fuck
What the actual fucking fuck is this stupid ass bullshit
It's outrageous! It's unfair!
So you're telling me, I could just live a normal life, but a part of my brain is getting rebellious and won't cooperate, spreading negativity propaganda to the rest of my brain?
What. The. Fuck?!?
These bodies are complete shit. Evolution consistently results in biological forms that barely work. That's what it does, it produces a bare minimum viable product, so that's what we are.
This jumble of nerves and synapses and hormones and gut bacteria that we call a mind is a huge fucking tangled mess. Truthfully, it's tragic that we have to live in these bargain bin bodies that break down constantly and often didn't work right from the start.
I don't have an uplifting end to this rant.
We're all in it together?
Whoever thought of putting an entertainment system right next to the waste disposal is a complete and utter moron.
I can’t even turn things on without wondering if the cleaners sanitized/wiped in the wrong direction.
Americans putting their thanksgiving in November.
WTF is wrong with you guys. It's 4 weeks to Christmas, you need to spread your food based holidays out better.
Easter, Independence Day, then fucking nothing until bam, Thanksgiving and Christmas back to back.
I don't want to hear about Labour day being a feast, it's a day off work to celebrate working. Stupid fucking holiday.
Labor Day isn't about celebrating work, it's about appreciating the gains organized labor has made for working people.
Union employment has dropped off a cliff the last few decades, we won't be celebrating it much longer.
The US doesn't celebrate the real one (May Day) anyway
Not with a gutted Dept of Labor and a Democrat party that's utterly spineless
Well the “I’d pay you more if you weren’t in a union” type less have been pretty thoroughly trashed these days.
Absolutely, it totally wrecks us because we have no guaranteed time off. So yeah, we all get to play roulette at the end of the year to figure out who gets the PTO. I'm lucky enough in my current job to have that time, but it's not guaranteed. So in the past I just agree to do the shifts because I don't have kids. :/
I thought it was young Obi-Won imagery
Um... To be fair, it has been moved further away from Christmas once already....
Uh, it's Thanksgiving, Christmas, Super Bowl... Don't sleep on the Super Bowl
Their owners don't want their American workers to start getting ideas that they have the right to more time off and better work life balance. So they shove all the holidays in the end of the year to give them something to look forward to and shut up and work for that rest of the year
What are you doing when you see a billionaire?
Conservatism, probably. It's cruel and often self destructive.
That humans (all of us) are such emotional creatures and that we do often can't rise above it. You tell someone a fact they don't like and the brain just shuts that down.
These feel related somehow
I blame quality of education. Like, the whole world. Some got it fine but most of the world got it in a trash state. Old system must go. Reworks must be done. And then, maybe we will not repeat history every couple of decades.
I hate when you go to tie something down in a truck and the tie downs you have suck so they aren't the right length and you have to awkwardly tie them to the hitch and then you do a terrible job anyway
Capitalism
That reality is so incredibly fucked up on a fundamental, physical level.
You're telling me that if I do nothing, my room will get messy, my house will decay, my machines will break down. But somehow matter magically organizes itself into life?
Fuck all the way off.
Entropy is some god damned bullshit.
I had no idea how bad entropy was until I was an adult. I can't be happy just relaxing because of the knowledge that everything around me is fucking falling apart and I have to spend every waking hour fighting the entropy around me. You can't just live in a house or condo or apartment, it's constantly crumbling.
But somehow matter magically organizes itself into life?
There is a recent, decently-supported hypothesis that the emergence of life is a byproduct of entropy, and the need for a system as a whole to almost “self-process” itself from a state of high order to one of lower order. So life is an emergent “engine” that allows entropy to function more efficiently. Or, at least a more efficient path than non-life.
Downside is that life - as we understand it - is only possible under a narrow range of environmental conditions, and complex life even more so. So while “life” may exist throughout the universe in measured single-celled doses, complex life - especially sapient life - may be distressingly rare or even wholly absent except for us.
Which is a real kick in the nuts when you examine the scientific evidence of how fast we are hurtling towards our own extinction.
Exceptionalism.
The kind that says “I’m special, but you aren’t”
The kind that lets billionaires exist and fuck with national politics and laws. The kind that lets rich people or corporations off of crimes with little or no punishment. The kind that lets a religious person use their religion to be shitty in any way, as a shield or a cudgel. The kind that lets someone festoon their pickup with LED lights and a squat so you’re blinded at night when they’re coming at you or tailgating you.
All of them think they’re special and the rules don’t apply, they don’t care how it affects those around them - or others are to be exploited.
I hate when people don't know how to act in a restaurant. I can tolerate it in tourists from abroad, that's excusable ignorance. But by the stars, some people never left the five hundred mile radius of where they were born and still never learned basic things like "don't treat service staff like trained animals" or "don't say you're ready to order until you know what you want" or "wait for a host or other staff to seat you instead of sitting down at the only dirty table and then complaining that you don't have a menu and your table is dirty" or "the number of people in your party includes all people, not just adults" or "you can't just order things from random people walking by".
Ugh.
On but your last sentence, I disagree.
I hate the current division in waiting staff, consisting of order takers and servers, I feel like anyone should be able to take a simple order and communicate it to their colleges who do the order taking.
Or at least they should try, of it's too complicated and they don't have time they should at least stop and say 'I'll direct my colleague your way'.
I've had people just tell me they don't take orders and then just move away, sometimes without even alerting the staff that can take orders.
That last bit is really vexing me, it has no place in hospitality.
It'd be quicker for me to list what I don't hate these days, but I guess the main stuff that makes me tilt is:
Capitalism, billionaires, billionaires' bootlickers, conservatives fascists, state surveillance, bloated anti-user and anti-freedom (i.e. modern) software, anti-intellectualism, being in a "post-truth" era, AI slopaganda, and the relatively general apathy to all of that and lack of solidarity amongst us working people (at least where I live).
Not American. And whilst that is true, this is definitely not limited to trump, we have our own version of that bullshit over here (and have had, in some capacity before the orange pedo)
The fact that horrible fascist and billionaire ghouls living in their 90s+ while people that did nothing heinous or actual good in the world are dying of cancer, heart attacks, aneurysms etc.
It's not fucking fair and and Billy Joel was right when he said only the good die young
Makes we believe that there isn't any omnipotent being out there or perhaps this universe is the bad place
I HATE HERNÁN CORTÉS. I WISH I COULD HAVE WITNESSED HIS LONELY SUFFOCATING DEATH SO I COULD KICK HIM
He genocided the people of Tenochtitlan. He was a Spanish conquistador and I see him like I see Hitler. There is nothing but pure hatred in my heart for a man who was barely human. I wish there was a hell so I could be certain he suffered. It has been over 500 years and I think he still has not recieved enough hate. If I ever visit mexico city it will be to piss on his grave.
He was a 16th century Spanish Conquistador that, IIRC, pretty much ended the Aztec empire.
Unjust justice systems designed to rob citizens.
An example: NYC cops will ticket you for not displaying a parking receipt on your dash even though you paid through their fucking ParkNYC app.
When you dispute the ticket they don’t give a fuck and just say “guilty” then charge you anyways.
That I can't find a job in America.
Whatever MS office turned into and that I still have to work with it.
And how governments of "first world" countries so openly shit all over the citizens they should take care of. It's not new but I feel like we're reaching a new low every day and no matter where you look at, it's the same just in different extremes.
Bots
Billionaires
Billionaire-bootlickers
Excessively talkative people who tell you everything about their life - but take zero interest in yours.
Companies that make you jump through hoops when you call them and force you listen to recorded messages about how you can get what you need on-line, before they finally put you through to a call-centre in India.
My lack of discipline when it comes to drinking and eating
The fact that my body has taken to waking me up at 4am
AT&T. We recently had an issue where our internet stopped working properly. My mom had to call them four times before they actually fixed our internet. The first time, she was put on hold for about 40 minutes before either the call ended itself or they hung up. The second time, she actually got through to someone but they didn't fix our internet and instead told us that our current internet package would soon be phased out and then spent about half an hour basically forcing her to getting something called "AT&T Air".
The third time she called, my mom told them that she didn't want AT&T Air and that if she can't use the package we have now, then we'll be switching ISPs. The woman on the phone said that she'll cancel the new package and put her on hold for about half an hour but she never did actually cancel the package or fix our internet, and she also never returned so my mom just hung up on her. The fourth time she called, the guy on the phone ran a diagnosis on our internet and finally fixed it within a few minutes. We have no idea why it took so long for them to do this but we're glad to finally have working internet.
But even though we do now have working internet, we are still thinking about switching ISPs. Even though they did send the equipment to use AT&T Air, we are not going to use it and we are going to send it back and try to get them to actually cancel the package. We aren't sure exactly when we are going to switch ISPs but my mom stated she wants to wait until after the holidays to do so, which probably means no sooner than January.
not sure how it works at ATT but usually for ISPs they contract multiple call centers for support.
it sounds like the first three times were to the same call center vendor and the fourth was to an actual ATT company support center. this routing happens randomly or based on time of day (Tod).
these vendors have incentives to collect the most calls, and resolve them as quickly as possible. they also have a hidden incentive to convert as many support calls to sales calls.
a "completed call" is one where the caller ends the call after a goal has been achieved. this means if you hang up before the goal is achieved it's not counted against the vendor and shows as a "disconnect" even if you were on hold for six hours. many operators will identify what you want, deem you as a nuisance, and place you on hold long enough to get you to hang up and make you someone else's problem. they have the incentive to convert you to sales and get paid a bonus for these sales.
it seems like your mother was handled by a veteran contract operator that upsells and dumps.
next time, tell them you want to speak to someone in cancelations and you will be transferred to someone inside the ATT customer service center. from there you can get transferred to an operator that actually works for ATT.
I fucking hate SQL. It’s “standardized”, but not in a way that makes anything about it interoperable between vendors. It’s insecure as fuck, unless you’re extremely careful. Every single SQL server has its own way of doing things, and you have to know it intimately to be able to use it effectively.
That being said, SQL is pretty cool. It kills aliens and doesn’t afraid of anything.
Willful ignorance.
Self driving cars, cold roasted peppers In crappy vegetarian sandwiches, chamomile tea, and war.
Every single person now thinks they're smarter than everyone else. No matter what their political leanings are, they're all smarter than everyone else. Smarter than:
It's absolutely ridiculous and it started sometime around the 90s around when Ross Perot first ran for president and it just got worse with social media.
That's the real problem right now. Everyone thinks they know more than people who spent decades studying and becoming experts in their field.
To be fair, there are a lot of bullshit economists and Doctors.

To be fair a lot of people with PHDs are dumb as shit. Maybe not in their field, but in every single other aspect of life. That's part of why arguments from authority should be avoided--the authority may be expert of their field, but their area of focus is likely extremely narrow.
Absolutely. That's still kinda the point.
You 100% should not trust:
They're just as guilty of this bullshit as everyone else.
People that don’t use their turn signals.
The grifting culture that seems to just be getting worse and worse,, amplified by scum people like Joe Rogan

[turns away, then turns back] Oh, and Hugh Jackman.
The people who think they can just cure mental illness like depression by saying things like "have you tried not being sad?" or "have you tried smiling more?" instead of actually being sympathetic and understanding.
I don't have any mental illness that would attract those people, but I still find they have very punchable faces.
Also, since I am out of practice since I haven't played for over a decade, I am currently absolutely hating Ulala from Space Channel 5 because of Sega Superstars Tennis, xbox360. Specifically because of the vs mode on normal difficulty and her getting her useless ability way too quickly and my ability being useless because the game decides my shots deserve to go directly to the other player with zero chance of going where I want it to.
Selfishness. It's the root cause of many things that plague the world: people putting themselves/their immediate circle before others, lack of empathy, greed, xenophobia, homophobia, misogyny, racism, fascism, or pricks listening to stuff through their phone's speaker in public.
We still have those?
I thought they all went into tech*.
Last horror story I heard was that Korean Telegram sex abuse/blackmail ring.
It's a Wikipedia article, but the whole thing is NSFL.
Yes and the American insurance and pharmaceutical companies are ran by them. That’s why Americans consider Luigi Mangione a saint
Having to scan QR codes. Fuck 'em. My doctors office can & WILL print me out a goddamn paper form to fill out.
It’s worse. The reason for digital is so they can steal even more data points to sell to third parties.
There’s a higher-than-normal correlation between filling out a new set of forms at a doctor and an increase in junk mail or phone calls from scammers.
I hate the folks that burned the library of Alexandria
my bad
You are right we did and yet I still couldn't help myself.
To make yourself feel better, it is disputed whether the entire library (and with it a huge wealth of knowledge) was destroyed in one big fire or not. Instead it might have been ”destroyed” gradually over a long period of time due to lack of funding.
I didn’t start the fire.
The people with high "personal" ambition that ruin this world for the rest of us. I am sure at least one of them was sitting at the table on that first thanksgiving thinking about how to exploit the Native Americans.
I'm not poor, but I hate that I don't feel financially secure enough to do more whatever I want. Working alone isn't enough anymore to save a house but at the same time to have fun.
Yeah, the house prices has gone up so much it's crazy. And rent, I can't believe how different it was 5 years ago. I wish I could have free time to do things while not having to worry about so much
I hate my fucking shithead neighbors who want to make everything tino a problem. Last night their kids were playing with our gate door so I went down and locked it without saying a word. Well, the little shit fucks came back and started slamming against it and yelling obscenities. Their parents nowhere to be found. They just let their cum goblins run around amock without teaching them any sort of decency or manners. I'm almost ready to throw a few of them into my cauldron and make some kid stew. 😤
At the moment, everything.
This time last year, I was meant to be buying my own apartment and finally moving out from my parents' home. Then I got laid off, spent seven months struggling to find work and then landed a temporary purchase ledger job which I fucking hate. Partially because the commute takes me about 2 hours each way, partially because I work an 8-5 shift and have to get up at stupid o'clock in the morning on office days, and partially because we use Oracle Fusion which is the biggest crock of shit I've ever used.
Unfortunately that means I have to live with my parents for even longer. Renting somewhere is out of the question because Bristol is the second-most expensive British city to live in, and I basically can't get a mortgage without a full time job.
Sometimes I question why I chose to pivot towards accounting. I have a History degree, I'm fully AAT qualified and I'm halfway through my ACCA and I'm earning £13.50 an hour, or just £1.29 above minimum wage on a zero-hours contract. I can genuinely earn nearly as much from stacking shelves, flipping burgers or pouring pints, not that there's really many hospitality or retail jobs available. Office days genuinely take 13 hours out of my day. 8 of these are working, 4 of these are the commute and 1 is the lunch break I get.
My future is uncertain and I feel like there's no point in bothering. Best-case scenario, AI is truly a bubble that's going to burst, crash the stock market and leave us in a recession. At worst, it takes all our jobs and the rich leave us to starve.
Despite a brief relationship with a woman who finally popped my cherry (we're still really close friends and I'm grateful she took my virginity), my love life is practically nonexistent. Online dating is an absolute void where I only seem to match with GPS-spoofing South-East Asian and African women either pulling love scams or trying to find a Western spouse and the means to a green card. Two ladies messed around with my feelings and led me on big time this year and that's left me exhausted.
I have a lipoma on my neck which is going to cost me a lot to remove, and good luck actually finding the time to get the consultation and surgery/liposuction booked. The NHS won't do it because it's not cancerous, even though this thing has grown to the point where it's 5.5cm in diameter and sticks out like a sore thumb.
Time to leave America, if that's where you are. Really. Come to anywhere else eastward, just across the pond. We gotchu. Work, women, healthcare. Maybe take care of the last and first one first, then the second will come trailing.
Did you miss the pound signs and the fact they literally said they were in Bristol, England? They are across the pond, and having an awful time. Also, do you think that America and England don’t have women?
Too bad we got dragged kicking and screaming out of the EU five years ago. Securing a job offer and work visa is going to be really difficult, and I don't speak another language.
parents who don't parent
stayed in a hotel recently during a hockey tournament. kids were banging on doors and intentionally hitting the same door more than once. they knocked paint off the interior of my door frame doing this, because they hit it extra hard due to the do not disturb sign.
I took a walk after a while and noticed that this behaviour was clearly visible from the lobby where the parents were hanging out, you could hear the banging sounds echoing through the stairwell fifteen feet away.
I was very close to losing my shit on them, but I didn't want it to be worse the next day
People who hurt cats. If you hurt a cat, may you be paralyzed but awake and not numb for the entire duration of an open heart surgery.
don't be mean to him he's trying his best :(
It'll improve with time don't give up. If on average you are better then you're past self, you're doing better than a lot of people
Edit: don't give up, not sunny give up
Objectively I may be doing better than my past self idk, but I guess I'm not really comparing myself to my past self but to my expected/full potential version of myself (if that makes sense) and I expect a lot of me. Also mentally I'm doing a lot worse than past me.
Same, friend. I hope things get better.
wouldn't there need to be a black capitalist state for there to be a white one?
I think it would be fair to just call it the capitalist state for now.
a white capitalist state would never stand without a personal army. there exists sympathetic members of the community that are helping the capitalist state gain and hold onto power.
capitalists don't care about race, only control and money. everything else is just a tool to continue increasing profits and maintaining control.
source: I live in a capitalist melting pot where the rich feed off the sacrifices of a multicultural state. the white poor people just don't realize they're victims too.
White people invented capitalism and they brought it here. The indigenous people are overwhelmingly communists. Forcing capitalism on us is racism. It is white supremacy.
Turkey is fucking DRY and flavorless.
While it is incredibly difficult to keep the breast meat properly hydrated (even I find the best turkeys seem dry with their white meat), another commenter is absolutely correct - a properly done turkey will have absolutely succulent and tasty brown meat. To the point where adding any garnish or gravy is almost an insult.
A thermometer and using foil to protect the breast during cooking is really helpful! I'm a dark meat fan, generally, but some mindful cooking can produce juicy and tender white meat.
Only if it's not cooked properly. Anyone that feels this way has an open invitation to enjoy brined, compound butter seasoned, spatchcocked goodness at my place. Treat a turkey with love, and it's delicious!
brine it overnight and cook it properly.
it's a game changer.
Salespeople
you are so cool, edgy or more interesting for that.
But honestly, I think you should have (read: engage with/not ignore) things you dislike, as long as there is an equal or higher amount of things that you do like. The problems usually start when people can't regulate their emotions and start attacking others for liking/disliking something.
I think you are right about what causes things to go bad irl, but I actually most dislike what these reactions do to media. And there I think emotional regulation would not be sufficient for better results. Disliking would need to not be engaging in the way it is.
Fucking wifi. In fucking everything. Fuck wifi and fuck you.
Recently and a slightly hot take: reckless drivers/cyclists. My take is that urban planning should be pedestrian-centric so... And yes, I did specifically include cyclists too: I would prefer to be hit by a bike rather than an automobile, but I'd much rather prefer to not be hit by either
I had a girlfriend from Copenhagen, and i'm from a pretty cyclist centric city myself. But visiting there was pretty darn amazing. You just have to watch where you walk, because they have big cyclists lanes and they are pretty used to the fact that people don't walk on them
Rush hour public transit users unaware that the population of the planet is >1. Take your back pack off, move to the back of the bus, prepare to get off at least one stop ahead, move out of the way of opening doors to let people out, don't stand in the bus's exit zone (makes the doors open automatically at every stop), stop taking pictures inside stations (or at least wait for no people, I lose sleep if I think there's a picture of my bloated middle-aged corpse-like body and face out there), blocking the left lane on escalators, just stopping dead in your tracks at the end of an escalator, blaring your music/calls for everyone to enjoy.

Those goddamn backup sirens. What the fuck is the purpose in a city? If you saw the truck moving forwards, you'll see it moving backwards, it doesn't become invisible. It's already festooned in lights. Why does anyone five blocks away need to hear your siren? At least the white noise ones aren't as piercingly loud. Yet the other day there was a truck that helpfully had BOTH types.
The laughable quality of clothes these days. I have to hit up thrift stores where there's little clothes in my size range (extra fat ass).
The shrinkflation. I know there used to be 6 bars in a box, not 5, don't bullshit me. I know the wheat crackers used to be bigger. etc
People who leave their collection bins on the sidewalk on the wrong day, or all week.
People who park in the clearly marked bus stop area. The bus will honk every time. Where's the traffic ticket agent? If you live here and overstay your legal parking spot by an attosecond, blam, ticket. Park in a bus stop: free parking?

Recycling bags that rip or straps that break.
Nasty cheap imitation chocolate in supermarket cookies labelled "chocolatey", etc. I like trying stuff from the "ethnic" aisle at the grocery store, I'll check the ingredients next time. Nasty stuff. There used to be carob bean for substituting chocolate, that at least tasted natural, I guess now even that is too much.
Microwave popcorn that leaves dry husks at the back of my throat.
That hard drive with my best porn on it stopped working.
Brother printer interfaces, and for that matter, their P-Touch machines. I feel like Brother has released about 65 million models of P-Touch, none of which have the same layout, menus, functionality, or capabilities, and each one comes from the factory set up to use 6 inches of blank ribbon on each side of your 6 letter label.
Thrift stores that commonly overcharge now. I mean really, it takes me 5 seconds to look up the price, why do you bother? Like those Amazon places, I mean, Amazon itself lists that little LED projector for less than 80$, why did you put a 100$ sticker on it?
Goretex. It's an over-rated material from the '70s that's only used because you have to put the Goretex label for the perceived quality on clothes but it's a shitty material compared to newer stuff that's cheaper and better.
Cheap electronics allows extremely loud car stereos, and has also killed the home hi-fi setup, everything is a plastic mono Bluetooth speaker so.. you can stream twice compressed audio into a two inch speaker in a plastic tube?
Low effort AI slop all over the place. No, a cougar with its injured cub didn't follow you home from the forest so you could heal its cub.
There used to be 12 hotdogs in a pack and only 8 buns in a bag. They fixed that now, but now there's spaghetti sauce with too much for three servings but not enough for four in a jar.
Bro is slightly ticked off I think
locked in and on point, though
Homie pulling out the manifesto
This album?
nah, they defined it better, actually
*okay, not totally better, as they didn't say media. but my point is that they mentioned making the noise rather than using headphones, because using headphones isn't the only solution, turning the goddamn volume down or off is also valid
I used to live up the hill from a recycling plant. Forklift trucks beep beep beeping while driving backwards from 6am to 8pm. Couldn't sit outside when the weather was nice, couldn't sleep with the window open.
Capitalism sucks, huh?
in order to reach a healthy weight, i activley am having to suffer. I have to teach my body to eat the right amount of food. it sucks man
Subscriptions
That whole game is a travesty, between needing to be online and connected to their servers just to LOOK at your own damn cars, to the bullshit microtransactions encouraged by the psychopathic randomness when getting awards after races and shit.
And not being able to hide the big red annoying gear shift suggestion, unfixed after GT Sport had the same bullshit
GT7 could have been so good
So what? Most of us were never meant to be impactful, or even lack the ability to be impactful. I would posit that life in general was only ever meant for us to vibe with the universe for a brief time. In the span of epochs, and especially once humanity makes itself extinct, vanishingly little will have any material impact on even the planet, much less reality as a whole.
Unless you manage to trigger false vacuum decay. Then you have made the biggest possible impact by destroying the entire universe. Not sure this is an appropriate goal to reach for, but hey. You do you.
Corporate events
Good god just send me back to the office so I can work already.
Ticks. And mosquitos.... And leaches and bot flies and and that one fish that swims up your dick hole of you pee in it's river... Really, I just want anything that's trying to put something in me or take something out for any fucking reason (without my consent) to fucking stop existing please. Leave me and my sad tired flesh alone! Also cars when we could have public transit.... Scratch that, I hate capitalism and all the things that would be obviously better with it gone.
Going full circle from cable to.... Pretty much cable. To get all the channels you have to pay nearly $100 a month.
Avocado is one of those things I really want to like because it's pretty good for you but I just don't know if I can get past the texture
the texture changes depending on how ripe it is. like a banana.
Grandpa?
Fucking "modernized" everything that don't really add any value and are just gimmick.
All the city streets are filled with bright LEDs and digital billboards, and it just fucking hurts my eyes, man.
Not only that, all cars and houses now also got that blueish LEDs too. I mean, for fuck sake, have you heard of warm daylight (3000k) LEDs!?!?
Phil Collins.
Yeah and Celine Dion music too an Kenny G
Most people. People are the worst.
Cool story, shitwagon. You made a new account just to post this. What a pussy. How sad must your life be?
Edit:
This is probably Hamid, you hilariously fragile fuck. Eat a hotdog and go to hell. You can't even be accountable to your own mean comments.
I hate watching a youtube video where they bleep the cursing instead of muting it. Those high-pitch bleeps hurt my ears.
According to Ozzy Man Reviews, if you don't curse within the first 8 seconds the video doesn't get demonitized.
White conservatives and anyone who is related to them that has the nerve to ask for leniency for "their" family members.
That new wicked movie. It’s so bad.
Taking a piss after chopping habaneros.
I hate that I know people in my country who willingly live in the Untied States part time. Are they not deeply ashamed?
Choosing to live part of the time in a country that has recently threatened our country's sovereignty and is rapidly taking away people's rights. Do they not know what's been happening? Do they not even fear for their safety as non-citizens in Trump's America?
Other than cancer nothing else really. Not even the people who use the word "hate" when they mean "dislike".
During my senior capstone project, our group was prepping a slideshow, and we were picking a shape for text boxes so we'd be stylistically consistent
I said "not circles" with more conviction than I intended. It was pretty late, so when they asked me why I said "because they're dumb and I hate them" instead of the full explanation about PowerPoint being really bad at elliptical text boxes
It started a running joke where whenever our prototype's design required circles, they'd pretend to talk me down like I was going to start fighting the circles XD
Loneliness. Lima beans. The smell of weed.
Simple non-inflammatory option?
People who litter.
I can't remember the last time I've been outside and not seen plastic, cartons and dumped household items that had been tossed aside. This includes hiking and other activities away from cities.
Just people in general who are unaware of how their actions affect others negatively, in any and all aspects of life. Especially when out in public, of course. At the grocery store, at the mall, in the parking lot, while driving, when talking, when online, every goddamn thing.
There are countless small things that are simple to avoid yet cause significant inconvenience to others. Or on the flip side, simple things to do, that would mean very much to another person.
Just think about your surroundings, treat everyone with kindness, respect, and give them the benefit of the doubt. Be welcoming. That's what makes/would make the world go around, and a nice place to live in.
But people live in their goddamn individualism bubbles and are completely oblivious. Sometimes people will be walking towards me in the street, perhaps two or three people side by side. And they'll fucking walk straight at me and I'll have to literally stop in my tracks to avoid colliding with them. Literally a few feet apart will they realize we will collide unless they change their trajectory. Mind you they won't apologize or realize they inconvenienced me. No. No, they'll just realize that they need to swerve unless they want to collide. And I know they see me from afar, because sometimes we'll even have eye contact and shit. Idiots.
People, man. Why it gotta be this way. 🤌
I wrote this comment because it doesn't make sense to hate people who eat meat. Do they also hate lions? Spiders? Cats? Like, wtf, we're animals who have been eating meat for (hundreds?) of thousands of years. Millions? We've got a long lineage. 😅🤌 Hating humans being naturally human... I dunno.
You started off with I hate folks who eat meat. What kind of reaction did you expect outside of a vegan comm?
You already made a ban happy vegan space safe space for yourself, why don't you just go ahead and crawl back into it.
